I told her she needs to slowly scoot down a bit today and I'd like to see a number in the 130s by the time I get home from work. :smile: Ruby, I said slowly! (I'm half tempted to start using the Relion again, just to see some lower numbers)

If she keeps up this pattern the next couple of days, should I think about an increase back to .25 on Friday night? I won't do increases during the week because of my work schedule.

It seems like Ruby spikes if she eats the Friskies Poultry Platter (7%). I managed to bring her up from quite the dip with it the other night. I haven't tried the FF T&G, though.

Hi Amy, I know Maggie would rise with the Friskies Poultry Platter, too. I bet Ruby would love the FF T&G. Ella's Rusty also loves the FF T&G. Some of the kitties don't get a spike from it, so it may be a good choice for Ruby if she happens to like it. I hope Ruby comes down. I know what you mean with the Relion and seeing lower numbers.

She does get a smaller bump up from the FF "Chunky Chicken" and "Chunky Chicken". Those are both 5%. If I can use it to control her drops and avoid gravy, it would be great. She bounces like crazy from gravy.

I have a graph I made of all of the Alpha & Relion comparisions I've done. Whenever I get too bummed about the higher Alpha numbers, I pull it and see where she would hit with the Relion. It does help me feel a little better! :lol:

Well, well, well...aren't we the pair? I apparently left Ru's insulin on the kitchen counter this morning and the husband knocked it on the floor. ohmygod_smile

I'm picking up a new vial on my way home. Do I need to keep an extra eye on her tonight?

As long as your insulin wasn't toast, a new vial shouldn't have any meaningful effect on Ruby's numbers. (Now she'll make a liar out of me!)

The vial was just opened on Feb 24th and until today, I haven't left it out of the fridge. ;-)

So much for waiting until the weekend! I dropped a vial once - it survived.

Between sitting out all day and a hairline crack, I decided it was best to ditch it and start over. Which seems to have worked in our favor anyway!
