Just stopping in to say Boo is looking fab-u-lous! How's the testing going today? Are you giving Boo treats and skritches after testing? I know what you mean about accidentally poking all the way through...I've done that with Trix a few times, too (in fact, I got my own ear pierced again to honor her strenght and courage through all of this!). I hope he settles in to the testing for you.

I got a +6 reading after returning home: 3.8 (68 US). His nadirs usually occur between +4 and +5, so we usually check at one or, when possible, both of those times in the daytime cycle, and +4 in his (slightly higher) nighttime cycle.

After much discussion with one another earlier today, we decided to try a 0.25u reduction (i.e., from 1.75u to 1.5u), starting tonight, as we've been a little concerned with the rapidity (relatively speaking) with which Boo's nadirs are falling, even in the face of an accidental under-dosing 24 hours ago. (Since both TheNewTeddy and I will have to be away from our place for a few hours tomorrow, we didn't want to risk a further BG nadir fall without either of us being there to fully monitor it.) We're still waiting to encounter a dose at which we'll see a (hopefully only temporary) 'stalling' and can then work on increasing complementary treatments to enhance Boo's healing -- but 1.75u doesn't appear to be that dose.
