Fed him a little snack FF 3% about 1/2 teaspoon, and I want to test him again in another 15 mins just to see if he's going to go down again (fingers crossed)

I know I'm kind of jumping the gun, but if Gentle continues to go down this way and at his PM time he is still in the low greens, I wouldn't shoot that right? Would I maybe compensate with MC food?

and yes if he goes below forty he's at another dose decrease :RAHCAT YAAYY Gentle!

*usually* we shoot anything on the rise over 50 "IF" you'll be around to monitor and are prepared to bring numbers up with hc if necessary. looks like you've shot 3 & 3.5u on 70s- 90s in the past. let's see what happens. gentle may go up fast towards the end of the cycle. personally, i don't believe in inflating the numbers with mc in order to get a higher preshot number.

if i were in your shoes, i would try to keep him over 40 in order to hang onto the dose longer since there's still a lot of yellow and some pink in-between the greens because lantus and levemir are known to have a harder time bringing down higher numbers.

most of us don't think about that. i know i didn't the first time alex was on insulin. i LOVE lantus and lev, but they just don't seem to be able to pull down those higher numbers as easily as lower numbers.

there's the rise. looks like there shouldn't be a problem with shooting at pmps time...

Gentle doing great! All 5 ps, shot 2.50U and fed FF LC 3%. Hubby has a gig, we'll be away for about four hours but will test him right when we get home!
