I grabbed a couple BTBs between pokies this morning, so it's a slow-n-late start to the day for the bean. Trixie, however, is handling it quite nicely!

Yeah - we "officially" joined a year ago today. However, Trix's diagnosis was a couple weeks prior, and she started on insulin on January 28th, so we celebrated her day then. We were flying nearly blind for a few weeks there...scary, scary thought, isn't it?

Way to go Trixie! You can let mama bean sleep and do it all on your own.

I hadn't realized we came on about the same time. Crazy huh? Seems less than a year but a lot longer too. Anyhoo, I am blessed to have you as a friend and you make me laugh when all I want to do is cry sometimes. (Pssst - That's a good thing!) Thankfully I never flew blind since my vet encouraged home testing immediately.

Hopefully she won't zoom up for PMPS...she's been tossing me some higher numbers in the evenings lately for some reason.

Mario is doing very well, thank you for asking! The vet gave him a reprive on BW, etc...he doesn't have to have his BP re-checked for about 6 more weeks, and she said we can hold off on BW for several months, unless his behavior warrants it. I know he's got some funky values in there, but he's the happiest and spunkiest he's been in ages. I'm trying to keep the "whole cat" in mind more than just the numbers. This morning he was running through the house like it was an obstacle course (well, it sort of IS!), jumping over boxes and weaving around furniture.

Back to working around the house. Today, I'm moving all of my beads and jewelry making stuff into my new workspace...I'm very, very excited!

Thanks for the parking advice... Walmart wasn't too bad, like you said, I went right in to the Pharmacy area, and got my strips in 10 min. and out the door I went. Now I have to see how this thing works.
