Morning LL! Miss Moonie was quite hungry this am, but is angry at me--
I think she has an anal gland issue so I tried to look--Forget it--Struggling to get away, mad, howls, I finally just washed it & will try again later--Boy she gets so mad!!
All is well with her though, she has a couple of breffises already..Last night I never got a pre bed test! My bad-fell asleep & just never woke till sooo late!
Started a new pen this morning--The Bubbles in the old one were Just Maddening!!--God I hate those bubbles!!
Hope this helps, as the old pen was about 36 days old, just enough--Need to order more juice & will do that tomorrow..
Cold day today, & breezy, makes for a freezing morning!--Hope all ailing kitties are well, beans too.

Hi Roni & Moonie,

Not such a bad AMPS for a pen that is beyond the date and getting bubbles, too. Yup, time to trade it in (don't you wish you could just trade them in and get something for all the insulin left in the old pen?! :lol: ).

Sounds like a good day to relax with your Moonie and to take a walk on the beach later. Enjoy!

I had to ditch a pen recently also, because of bubbles. Mine was only 3 weeks old grr_red

It's snowing like crazy here and blowing sideways. oh yeah, and 18 F...brrrrr!! It's not supposed to let up until tonight.

Morning Roni and Moonie, I bet with the new pen her numbers will come back down to Moonie numbers. So sorry about her anal glands. I hope she lets you check them later. Mags won't let me do anything in that area either. They are alike in many ways. Wishing you both a nice, relaxing day. Hugs and love from us.

Good luck with the new pen - hate those pesty bubbles too! A nice start for Moonie too - that yellow looks blue to me. :-D what fun on the butt issue. No way doe Mannie like that either. :shock:

Oh the indignity of it all!! What's a lady to do?

There have been times I couldn't figure out whether to address my curses at the pen or syringe. Now we are using vials since Weezer goes through the stuff like water. I haven't had as much of a bubble issue with the vials.

And green is back for Moonsie :-D --She was lyng in her toys & playing with a catnip cigar & I knew she had gone green--She usually plays when she gets a green number, so Yea!!
See that new pen does wonders for these kitties!
She wont let me near her bottom, so I am just leaving it for now.
Hope all kitties are doing well & are having good numbers..

What a nice cycle for Miss Moonie! She is trying to tell you that she is fine and doesn't need anyone looking at her rear end. She is probably so mad at you for posting stuff on her condo for all the world to read!

Such a nice drop for Moonbeam today! Good call on leaving her bottom alone. Why cause a stress spike when her numbers are so pretty? Have a great night, Roni.

What a nice green day for Moonie!!! How wonderful.

If they have anal gland infections or impactions, it's extremely painful and can raise the BG especially if they rupture like Jill's Alex did. I'm glad Moonie is playing and her numbers are good. Hope it's not the anal glands.

Those are some nice GREEN numbers Ms Moonie! Now about that "back there" problem...

Zener and Tillie (our civvie) frequently get full anal glands and the vet has to "express" them. I don't think it happens quite as often now as when they were both on dry kibble, but it sure makes them feel punk. We haven't had problems with Zener's since we started on Lantus, so not sure how it will affect his BGs.
 
She hasnt eaten much tonite, and it is aggravating me so much, but her numbers stay nice anyway!!
She wouldnt let me feed her by hand which i do amps & pmps, but nibbled a drop--opened a can of ff beef & liver even to try to get her to eat--Stubborn little thing--Swear she's gonna give me a stress attack one day!
Hope she eats on her own tonite, which she might..Hope all kitties are well tonite & beans as well-

Yay Moonie you doing great :mrgreen: Vyktor says he understands why you won't let Roni near your butt, he won't let me near his either, and that's just trying to clip off some soiled fur occasionally!
