Last night was another night for R and another night where the numbers didn’t seem to reflect it. I know it was a good shot, I just don’t know what it did. This morning she got another .25 units if R with her Lantus. I was hoping we wouldn’t need to give R this morning because today is our youngest son’s 43rd birthday and we were going to take him and his wife to lunch. Plan B, I’m making pizzas here. I’m still not comfortable shooting R and leaving.

Time again for my disclaimer. For those who haven’t been following Weezer’s story, her multiple conditions require much greater doses of insulin than kitties with “simple” diabetes and we are feeling our way through treatment plans. DO NOT try to use any information in this condo to guide your dosing decisions.

Morning Linda - I hope all works out this morning so that you can still go out for Your son's birthday lunch. Paws crossed for you! Weezer, be good - OK? A nice safe surf, so your beans can go out for a bit. Good luck Linda. It was nice to see the blues yesterday.

Linda, Happy Birthday to your son, and I hope your plans to take them to lunch work out, but Plan B sounds great, too, pending Weezer. Have a great time today.

looks like it took the edge off the bounce from blue (only went up 149 from the 156 you caught in the previous cycle, which may or may not have been nadir)

Between what +numbers are you planning on being away? Do you use a timed feeder?

No, Weezer doesn't have "simple" diabetes. (((((Linda))))) You and DH are doing a super job for your baby. Looks like flat yellow today which is not a bad cycle. We sure would like to see some blue, Weezer. Enjoy your day with your birthday boy and remembering the day 43 years ago. :-D

Flat yellow is right. We've moved onto Plan C. Birthday boy has many strengths and excellent qualities, planning isn't one of them. We'll get together tomorrow for birthday celebrations. That takes the worry out of not being close for me. This is the first time we have used R in back-to-back cycles. There hasn’t been any action yet, but she often has a last onset for Lantus, so we’ll see.

I have 4 of those with that same planning issue...I gave up long ago listening to anything but the last minute plans. Does that naturally come with that 'plumbing'?

Yellow is a whole lot prettier than pink. I hope the R gives Weezer some action. What you are doing always amazes me. Having had so much experience with insulin most of my life, I am not sure I could do what you do. I wonder if anyone is doing any research on how Humalog effects cats. It woeks a lot faster than R and is in and out faster. I'd love to see if there is any research going on.

Weezer started out yellow, but spent most of the afternoon on the pink floor. We shot .5 u R with her PM Lantus.

they always show their action at night, don't they? it's like cats KNOW when it's most inconvenient, KNOW when you want to go to bed, KNOW when you had other plans. there's no question about it - they are psychic!

did someone say there's a PJ/pizza party going on in this condo tonight? :cool:

6th cycle a 14.5u lantus - may be showing it's stuff this cycle. . .
