Yesterday started out so well... a nice blue amps, decent +3, then BAM - up he went at +9: back into bounce mode. Sheshhhh! :YMSIGH: At least with the PM cycle things started to come down a little. Hoping for really good things today Mannie. OK? Lubs ya big guy, even when you are "that color". cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D Friday came and went... Now Mannie has to wait four whole days for DGS to return. Bummer! They hung out together for a while yesterday, in the morning, before we headed out for our river adventure. Mannie was hoping for a handout during breffis, but was majorly disappointed when DGS tried to give him some of this cream of wheat. I could see the thoughts: "What IS this? WHERE is the chicken? You like this stuff?" :lol: Nicholas helped with our testing before we left, still sits next to him as quiet as he could be, until the serious part was done. After that? the kitty is fair game, and fur petting commenced. He does pretty well for a one year old - pets well, with a little help. Mannie purrs. Too cute! We had a great test feed shoot this morning: lots of purrs and head rubs from Mannie. Breffis was consumed with gusto - still and always at warp speed, clean plate club status maintained, the auto feeder continues to be used, Elsa still tries to raid his auto feeder, I still intercept. Normalcy in MannieLand.

Have a great day everyone! Errand day here, and grocery shopping: human and furkid. WOO HOO - what fun.... afterwards I hope to head on out for a walk/trek/hike through the woods to the shore.

Hey everybody! What's up???? :-D It's kinda rainy here, and well... You guys wanna come and hang out around my fireplace? it's nice and warm,and I gots lots of fleece and stuff... and I saved a whole bunch of Cimmamum Melts from Gracie's pool party yesterday... what'd'ya think? ~~ Mannie

And completely OT: here are a couple of pics from yesterday's outing with nicholas to the Snoqualmie River.. what a great place!

ahhh, i so enjoy your pictures, michelle. not only are they beautiful, but i've often thought how lucky your DGS is to have his life documented in pictures and videos. i'm sure he'll appreciate them so much as he gets older.

Morning Michelle, I have a feeling Mannie will flash some blues today and who knows, some greens may be up his leg! Gorgeous pics and Nicholas ever so cute. So touching to hear how DGS and Mannie have bonded and are best buds. Wow, 31 is cold and hope it warms up today. Enjoy getting stuff done and maybe a shoreline walk, too. It always feels good to get the errands out of the way and the cleaning.

Mannie, sittin by the fireplace sounds nice to me. It's too hot and windy here and there are fire warnings, too. Oh boy, cimmamum melts from Gracie's party yesterday, cool. I'll be sittin at the curb, Mags

Hi Jill - thanks for the visit! and for the photo comments. This kid will have one cool photo documentary of growing up, not to mention the videos. His mom and dad have copies of it all. It really is a ton of fun to take him to all this places. and thanks - Mannie and I are working on it. :-D

Love the pics Michelle. Especially love that Nicholas is so free to explore the world around him. So many parents and grandparents I come in contact with in my profession (I'm a Nanny) hold on to their little people too tightly and are not only afraid to let them explore and enjoy the world, but terrified of them getting dirty. That type of attitude and parental hovering creates anxious little basketcases. :YMSIGH: Sorry, let me step off my soapbox now. :smile:

HI Jordan - thanks, it is the way I feel too. It is so cool to watch this guy explore, discover, learn. We have such a good time - and he can get as dirty as he wants. The experiences in my book are so worth every ounce of dirt he gets into. Btw: it's a great soap box! :-D

Hi Tracy - I am sure hoping that he will deliver. enough of the yellow already! :lol: and thx - walk was good, and thx too on the pics. We are blessed with alot of very nice places with rivers that one get actually get to. I love it, and so does Nicholas.

I guess Mannie was sick of the yellows even if yellow is his favorite color. Maybe they should make the nanners in green!

I think Mr. Mannie is going to surf the blues for awhile and let you have a peaceful night.

Hi Georgia - that is what I expect. We shall see - but I really think he will find the blues, maybe a little lower and surf there. it is his comfort zones in a way. And :lol: :lol: on green nanners!

Isn't it so funny to think about his trepidation with Nicholas at first and now they are best friends? I agree with Jill that DGS is so lucky to have you document his young life and time with his beloved grandma!!

Hey Mannie.....wow that was fun yesterday and those cimmamum melts were incredible!!! And that Tobey...he's such a cimmamum addict. But he DOES have a crush on Herbie....he loved her 'kini. hee hee. Good we could all hang out by the fireplace and rest today!!

Hi Marje - It has indeed been a great evening for Mannie - a nice cycle. It is always good to see the blues and the greens. Nice to think that alot of our kitties are doing the same thing,. GO FURKIDS! -- and so true on Mannie and DGS - I remember those first days... one cry and off to the basement he went. How times have changed. :-D I enjoy the photos and vids of the little guy - it has proven to be a nice way to document his first few years. It's been good.

Gracie - heeheehee on Tobes - I know on the cimmamum - we gots to just be sure we make enough cuz we all now how much he lubs the stuff. Maybe we need a cimmamum patch! I liked the fireplace today too - it was good times for everyone! we gots some great stories told. See you tomorrow! ~~ Mannie
