Yesterday was bounce day.... BLECH! It may have been pink or yellow, but it was rather flat - so in that regard, there is some good to be had. So..... if the new pattern still holds, today should be a good blue and green day. Right Mannie? Blue and green? Looking good so far with that 177 this morning. Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D Yesterday Nicholas was my assistant tester. It is amazing to me how he will sit by Mannie and I, hold the supplies I give him (usually the test strips container) and not move, just wait and watch. He is as still as he can be, holding that container. Mannie doesn't flinch or move either. Some how that is kinda cool. Last night Elsa came by to watch too. I'm still not certain if she will truly pick up BJ's role or not, but it is nice to see her come and check on Mannie. BJ would always sit right by him, making sure all was OK, and probably making sure I didn't mess up. We had a great test feed shoot this morning: lots of purrs and head rubs from Mannie, some kneads too! Breffis was consumed with gusto - still at warp speed, clean plate club status maintained, the auto feeder continues to be used, AND!: Elsa missed raiding his auto feeder. :o what is up with that. maybe I should be grateful. so no running interception: phew! Normalcy in MannieLand, sort of.

Have a great day everyone! I am still on DGS today. Once again we are supposed to have great weather - I do so hope they are right. No doubt we are off to the river, again... and like yesterday, and the day before. I need to figure out which one. I know I won't be able to visit condos until late in the evening... So so sorry. Do know that I am thinking of you all, and your furkids! think blue, think green kitties!

Hey everybody! What's up? Anybody wanna just hang out today? like the day before, by a fire and stuff? Or..... maybe we could bake cookies. I sure miss cookie week... See you guys soon! and uhhhh... I am ready for anything! ~~ Mannie

And completely OT - here are some photos from Nicholas's and my adventure yesterday. We went to the town of Skykomish, near Stevens Pass, next to the Skykomish River. It is a very old town that is undergoing extensive renovation after the RR went in to remove years of toxic/metals buildup in the soil... Sure is looking good now. Nicholas and I had a grand time, in the town itself, by the river, and on the road just getting there. Fun stuff!

Re: 1/13 Mannie AMPS 177, +2 154

Very cool that Nicholas helps you with testing. That is a great lesson for him to think about others and how to help them. What a sweet guy. Mannie, you are looking good today! Keep it going. Maybe a trip to the beach to surf? Have a good one, Michelle.
Liz

Re: 1/13 Mannie AMPS 177, +2 154

Mannie is off to a good start for his blue/green day! Unfortunately I think the teeter totter has been unearthed! OK kids just keep the swings short!

Amazing how Nicholas knows to be still while you test. Very wise child. And disciplined, that strip bottle would be sooooooo fun to shake!

Mannie, fireplace sounds good to me. AND baking cookies! -- Tess

Re: 1/13 Mannie AMPS 177, +2 154

What a great report and what good numbers to start the day, Mannie!
How neat that Nicholas and Elsa are both helping to take care of Mannie. What happened with the 'nanners this morning??

Michelle, enjoy your trip today in that good weather. The pics of the Skykomish downtown are neat. Was it a prospecting town?

Looking forward to hearing about your adventure this evening.

Ella & Rusty

Yo Mannie, Let's continue to chillax. I'll bet we can find some cookies somewhere!

Re: 1/13 Mannie AMPS 177, +2 154

Hi guys .. loving these numbers mannie! Now if you wanted to continue them through today .. and tomorrow .. and the next .. :-D I also think it's great that Nicholas watches mannie's routine .. I don't think many 1 year old babies would do that! I enjoyed the pictures you posted on FB yesterday, it looks like a nice town to visit .. have a great weekend!

Re: 1/13 Mannie AMPS 177, +2 154

Hi Michelle, yum, I'll join you with the White Peppermint Mocha! So sweet to hear of DGS assisting with Mannie's testing and Elsa coming along to watch, too. What a nice morning for Mannie already with some nice blues. I hope Mannie gives permission today for another lovely adventure. Nice pics of yesterday's day trip, too. I hope it is warmer today for you and Nicholas Have a great day.

Mannie, chillaxin sounds so nice today around a fireplace. I'll see ya later, Maggie

Re: 1/13 Mannie AMPS 177, +2 154

Very nice start to Mannie's day, keep up the good work big fella and think.....no bouncing!

Re: 1/13 Mannie AMPS 177, +2 154, +3.5 98, +4 109

I see a pet sitter in training here. Like Tracy got to say, before I could (hmph!), Nicholas will be testing and shooting before you know it. :-D
What great adventure you guys gots in store for today, Michelle?

Re: 1/13 Mannie PMPS 124, +1 168

124 @ PMPS
168 @ +1

What a great day for Mannie - blues and greens! WOO HOO!

Thanks to everyone that visited Mannie while I cared for DGS. Nicholas and I went to a park in Bothell that is next to the Sammamish River. We've been a couple of times before, and he really likes the place. It was another cold day here. 28 when we started, 34 when we went home, with a little sun. He had a great time - played in the leaves (yes, we still have some leaf piles), checked out the ducks and the geese, climbed a few benches (well tried too). All in all, a great day.

Hi Barb, Lisa, Tracy, Ann, Devon, Ella, Ann, and Anne for checking up on Mannie - it is appreciated. Yep, Nicholas does like to help with testing - that test bottle makes the best noise when you shake it ya know? Mannie doesn't seem to mind, though sometimes I think he gets a little nervous, with me with a lancet in my hand and DGS shaking a bottle so close by.
Ann - I had hoped that they had buried that teeter totter... guess not.
Ella - nanners were cuddled and hugged to pieces... he just never misses! Skykomish was a RR town primarily - lots of RR activity in the area. Not too sure on the prospecting aspect....
Devon - thanks! it's a great small town. The area is beautiful.
Tracy, Barb - good idea I think! A tester in training... I could use some back-up.

Hey everybody! Loved the chillaxin' today - the fireplace was perfect! I am so glad that somebody smuggled in some cookies! WOO HOO! Thanks guys! ~~ Mannie

Re: 1/13 Mannie PMPS 124, +1 168, +2 138

Very cool that Nicholas is helping you with test. Of course kids have a very special connection with animals...

Mannie is pulling some very nice numbers today...keep up the good work!!!

Re: 1/13 Mannie PMPS 124, +1 168, +2 138

Sounds like a great day was had by all! Nice numbers, Mannie!! Those cookies didn't do any harm!!

Off to watch TV. It's the weekend!!!

Have a lovely weekend, Michelle, and I hope you get in a hike or two. It's still snowing here and very windy. We may get up to 9 inches tonight. Tomorrow is supposed to be very cold with highs in the single digits and the low tomorrow night -17 degrees! That's cold. Needless to say, Rusty doesn't want to go outside!

Ella & Rusty

Hey Mannie, brave the cold and come tomorrow to play in the snow!

You called it right!!! Blue/green day for Mannie...whoooooo hooooo!!!! Looks like he's going to give you more great numbers tonight.

Hope you and Nicholas had a great day today. It's amazing that a one year old will stand so still to help out...and now Elsa, too!!!

Hope you have a great evening.

90 @ +4.5

Looks like I missed a few people - sorry!

Hi Amy - It is nice - It is amazing to me that he has a basic understanding that he needs to be good. They get along so well. :-D and thanks - he really has had a good day.

Hi Ella - that it was - a very nice day. Even for Mannie, despite the cookies that all those furkids ate. and thanks on the weekend - I hope so, even if it is just local stuff. We are supposed to get some snowy weather, so we shall see.... 9 inches for you? I can't believe your temps! No wonder Rusty wants to stay in on his radiator perch. I don't blame him.

Rusty! COOL! I will be there!! hey -we mat get some snow too. Do you have enough to build snow tunnels? I love snow tunnels.. ~~ Mannie

Re: 1/13 Mannie PMPS 124, +1 168, +2 138, +3.5 91, +4.5 90

hi michelle! good to hear the mannie report - although i'm missing the queen whacker! she was a sweetie - we could tell from the next state over! perhaps nicholas will be a vet someday after growing up with his grandma and mannie! :-D you never know.

we're supposed to get an artic wave coming down tomorrow and maybe snow tomorrow night. as long as we don't have to go anywhere, i'm ok with that.

mannie's sure looking great tonight!

83 @ +5.5. WOOT!

Hi Julie - I know! Me too - I so miss those whack-a-thons. The others just have not picked that up, nor the kitty choir! -- hey so true on Nicholas - ya never know. He really seems to like the kitties: just lights up all over when he sees them. We are too - on the cold. They say snow. oh goodie! I don;t have to go anywhere, so all is well. well, have the groceries, but will do that early enough. It will, in a way, be nice to see a little white stuff.
