I am really hoping the wheezing I just heard from Cini was a hairball wheeze and not an asthma wheeze (if it's an asthma wheeze then I have to give him inhalant steroids)

Does anyone know of a FD remedy for hairballs?

I have some Petromalt, the ingredients are: Active Ingredient: Mineral Oil (44%), Other ingredients: Acacia Gum, Acidic Calcium Sulfate, Barley Malt Syrup, Caramel, Glycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Thiamine HCL, Water.

Would that be ok? I haven't given it to him in a long time and I don't want to mess up his OTJ Trial.

Occasionally I use NaturVet gel, but it has "maple flavoring" (it doesn't specifically say "maple syrup", whereas your remedy does contain "barley malt syrup", which almost certainly is sugary). There is a remedy that is supposed to be FD friendly. Jill has put a reference to it on Alex's SS (the tab on medications): https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr...hanggledHA0XzAwUEJKaUdUXzNyUDBkVE1KM2c&gid=34

Olive oil works, too (but use the "light" olive oil, because the Extra Virgin oil might be too peppery). Jill also mentions fish oil and salmon oil.

I hope Cini Mini can get that pesky hairball up!
