12/3 punkin amps 300 +3/142 +5.5/108 +9/142 pmps 252

yesterday

sighed about punkin's amps of 300 this morning, and then was really surprised by the +3/142. that's a big drop for him. i'm just really glad i'm around today to test and monitor.

my son is taking care of a cat, cooper, who belongs to one of my close friends. i went with him this morning to say hi to cooper and cooper was parked on the heat vent in front of the full-length window next to the front door. when he heard us talking to him from the sidewalk, he started making bread on the wood floor! :lol: the son got his food out, opened the door, invited cooper to go outside. he sat there a second in the frigid blast (it's about 30ish out) and moved back onto his heater vent. a pretty clear "no thanks!" or else a "you've gotta be kidding!" i don't think they have a litter box inside, though, so i'm going back in a bit to try to get him outside for at least a few minutes.

cooper is a siamese and he was blessed with an excessive amount of dignity. we have a friendship where he allows me to provide a lap for him and give him scritches as long as i do it right.

Wow, that is quite a drop for punkin! Nice of him to do it on a Saturday :lol:

Lucky Cooper.....so nice of you to go back and check on him and let him out. Maybe he will give you some lap time!

Thanks for your comment on our condo last night. Yes....we have learned that DM has to have three "midnights" in a hospital and then must directly go to skilled nursing in order for medicare to pay. But I don't think she's in any condition to do otherwise. I'm glad you told me, though, because the system is so complicated that every little bit helps. Several folks have provided me with info that has been important so anything you can think of....I'm listening.

Those are some pretty nice numbers for Punkin and yes, it is good that you can monitor him today. I imagine, with his current dose and that drop, you might be a little concerned. Hopefully he will surf nicely in the blues.

HA! the mystery of yesterday morning's 379/365 amps is explained. the son just came upstairs from his bedroom with a torn up baggie with a cracker/chex/pretzel type of trail mix killed in it. apparently some cat(s) got into it, and the timing would've been right to show up on that BG test. so punkin must've gotten some of it.

he's had a nice little surf going today til right before pmps. must be a good dose for the moment.

Was there anything edible left in the baggie? If there was, are you sure it was punkin? :lol: :lol: Nice cycle for mr. punkin today. He's my guy. Have a nice evening!

oh bwahahahaha LIZ! so true! you really know him! yes, there was a little left in the baggie, but the son says maybe he got too much plastic baggy in his mouth and he gave up. the crunchies had that yummy *ack* orange coating on it - maybe he had enough of it. although that is a little hard to imagine, isn't it?!

the little guy got fed at 7:15pm and he's been out here in the middle of the coffee table begging for more food since 8pm. 45 minutes and then he wanted more. good grief.
