Still not much movement from Trix. This is one of the many parts of FD that just totally baffles me...no improvement with increases.
Anyway, I'm planning on taking her from 1.75U to 2.0U with this evening's dose, unless there is some drastic movement today. Does that sounds like a good plan? (Yes, I've lost some of my decision-making confidence!)
In other news, I managed to trick Zen into taking his ABs this morning. I quartered his clavamox, wrapped all those pieces as well as his metronidazole in teeny amounts of pill pockets, rolled each in fortiflora, mixed them into a pile of Mario's crappy K/D kibble (which are Zen's "comfort food" when he doesn't feel well), piled them on top of Zen's regular food, topped everything off with a little more FortiFlora. Sheesh. He ate 4 of the 5 in his first round of breakfast, and got the last one down in his second round. Holy moly, the things we do. I sure hope I can keep this up for just 2 more days...the thought of liquid meds and starting over again are beyond unappealing.
Marje - I saw your suggestion in last night's condo. I don't think the butter/water route would work with Zen. He's an ultra-sensitive cat, and having to do multiple steps to get meds into him would be way stressful. When we do liquid meds with our crowd, Mark scruffs them while I shoot the meds in. Zen is the only one in the herd who can still wiggle while scruffed...he's always (understandably) suspicious. Mark has a scar on his forearm that is literally about a foot or so long from Zen's hind claws after a medication incident about 7 or so years ago. So, I was thrilled that the PPs were working for Zen. But, again, his suspiciouns got the best of him when the stupid PP got caught between his cheek and gum the other day...
And Gracie's video was adorable!!! You have such beautful kitties.
Anywho....the trials and tribulations. BTB till +2.
