Looks like the night bean got a little carried away with the carbs last night. Sheez, one of these days I'll get it! His appy had been so poor, when he is hungry it's hard not to go overboard! The big guy was such a trooper for the poke fest. Looks like he may get a poke break today. He is feeling good today, has been on yard patrol stalking birdies and checking on the mice colony in the woodpile.

@Cathy - thanks for stopping in this morning. I believe it was Zener's biggest +2 drop yet and sure gets the adrenaline flowing for beans. I'm not sure we are the best ones for how to stop the drop - I have not yet found the balance with the carbs. ;-)

@ Melissa - thanks for the support. We were delighted to see some better numbers so I didn't mind staying up. I had 9 hours of sleep the night before! :-D Of course, today is our busiest day and I'm teaching a lot, so I hope I don't fall asleep in the middle of giving a lecture. :lol:

This is the 2nd time below 80 (with the alpha trak) at this dose. One more and we plan to shave the dose. :razz:

Hi guys ... yes indeed, a busy night for you guys! Glad to hear that zener's appy was better last night .. but why wouldn't it be, with the promise of HC right? :-D While I'm sure zener appreciates the break in pokes today, I hope he ends up coming down for you .. have a great day!

Thanks Devon, so far it's a flat stinkus pinkus and poke break for the big guy! We appreciate no drama today, as it is difficult to be here for steerage. ;-)

Oh a poke free day for Zener and he got the good stuff last night. He is one happy kitty today. Hope he clears the bounce for you soon! One more time! Wow! Seems like you were just asking about the 3 times rule a few days ago. Looks like Zener is on a mission.

Thanks Jaq, Zener does like to be unique. He is enjoying a reduced poke day. I learned on the FDMB about using neosporin on his ears and it makes a huge difference after a poke fest! :razz:

Thanks Melissa, one class down and another lab all afternoon. I managed to stay awake in the first one and I don't think anyone noticed I was sleep deprived! We are hopeful the bounce won't last too long and we see another magic number soon. I am so thankful for the help about the 3x rule! :-D

i would argue with your statement (anne, i think) in the first condo about not being the best beans at managing the carbs - you and liz are awesome. this looks like a bounce, so it's not related to the fuds! you ladies are doing awesome and zener is doing really well. mr liver will calm down at some point!

Hi Anne, sorry I missed your condo yesterday, but I saw you had a busy night and lots of pokes. It's amazing how our kitties are such good troopers with the pokes and shots. I have a timer set for the shots, and Mags knows it's time for the shot. I can see why Zener is a happy camper with all the good fuds. Hope he breaks the bounce but no diving. Hope you both had a good day. Nights are your shift, right Anne, and mornings are Liz! Have a good evening and scritches to Zener.

Well sort of, I am a physical therapist and teach at our local university in the PT department. I also work with sport for persons with disabilities at the elite level, the Paralympic Games, and that's why I was in London recently, preparations for the Paralympic Games following the Olympics next year.
Love the picture, but I do NOT wear a skirt. ohmygod_smile In fact, I don't even own one, or dress either for that matter. I do have those professorial eyeglasses though. :lol: :lol: :lol:
Liz has a camping pad in her office and often takes a nap between classes. I need to get one too!

Zener is feeling pretty good despite his bounce, and after stuffing him last night with the poke and carb fest, he wasn't too hungry in his am cycle. :roll: He was very demanding when I dashed in right before PMPS and ate like a lumberjack. Paws crossed he breaks this bounce a little faster than the last one, and without diving. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Thanks to all for stopping by today. We had a very busy night and a mid-week PJ party. That rascal Zener didn't care a lick that it was a school night! :razz:

@Ann - Yesterday evening was very busy. Zener had been feeling sort of punk for a day or so and felt so good last night with the low numbers I was happy to stay up and test/feed. Funny that now we stress over the high numbers more than the low ones! That's great Mags is such a trooper and a time keeper too! :-D Liz is the morning person and gets up for testing and feeding at 6 am. I do better at night and get a mid cycle check. If there is late night testing, like last night I'm on for that. I do pretty good until 2 am.

@ Julie - thanks for the confirmation on the bounce and how we are managing Zener's carbs! We appreciate all the support we get. Zener may need remedial LTS again, his liver is all a quiver! We read your condo and "dialing for doses" and feel like we have it pretty easy. ;-)

@Linda - we're with you on the ouchy bouncy. Our boy loves his trampoline!

We are hoping for a less dramatic evening tonight, but then, it really isn't up to us! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Most of my clinical career was in rehab working with persons with spinal cord injury, stroke, head injury and all the stuff no one ever wants to have to see me for! My knees and back finally had all the lifting they could take. Now I teach and do my best to convince students rehab is where you can really make a difference for others. Most of them think they want to go into sports. Ah, the enthusiasm of youth. :lol:

Zener has dropped into stinkus pinkus, so paws are crossed this bounce clears soon. Looks like an opportunity to get to bed early and make up for lost sleep from last night's poke fest. I-) I-) I-)
