My last post from last night went something like this:

O.M.G. I give up!!!! I do not understand this cat. I seriously just want to take him off insulin, wait for the insulin to clear his system, and start all over from scratch. I've held his dose so long because I don't know whether to take him up or take him down. He's had low greens on this dose and high pinks. I don't care if he stays on insulin for the rest of his life if he would just stabilize. He's seriously causing severe hair loss over here cuz I'm pullin' out my hair!!

I was leaving the house at +4.5 and, of course, checked Champ as I was leaving and, of course, he's a 58. Because I had already told my DD I would go with her, I just gave Champ two big spoonfuls of the FF Gravy Lover's and hoped he would be okay. Of course, he was. I feel bad carbing him up, but a bean's gotta do what a bean's gotta do!! I'm kinda scared to check the PMPS, but that will happen in about ten minutes. Not checking it isn't going to make the number any better!!

I'll be back shortly with the PMPS...

Hi patty - wow - I can so relate to what you wrote about not knowing.... sounds like what I go through every day. we have good stuff, then Mannie stays pinks for what seems like a lifetime. And yes, a beans gotta do what a beans gotta do. we do need to have a life outside of syringes, meters lancets and tets strips... :-D I hope you had a good time with your DD.

Champ - be good now, and no freaking out your bean at pmps. :-D

The PMPS wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Wonder what he has in store for me tonight?!!

Michelle - I notice you're having your own frustrations lately with Mannie. Not so much the wild swings like Champ, but the nasty pink floor way too often. Both our kitties used to do so well....what changed? I wish I knew!!

hi patty, champ's not looking too badly! when i look at his day's numbers they look pretty great, in fact. hang in there.

re your comment in punkin's condo last night - thank goodness it's not a competition! you don't want to compare champ to punkin & gus - they have a completely different situation, and i'm mighty certain you wouldn't want this, it is not a pretty disease. Champ gets to follow his own path and it seems all of them have ups and downs.

we'll just celebrate the good days for each of our kitters! hopefully he'll soon be giving you those awesome numbers you've seen before.
