Happy Monday morning!!!! It's a gorgeous day in Tucson....cool mornings, warm days, lovely evenings....ahhhh...FALL!
Sending lots of hugs, prayers, and love to Linda and Teddy. Healing vines to Garland, Rocket, Leo, and any others who just feel off today! Also sending lots of prayers to Iorwen and her mom.
I believe Sienne was right when she said sometimes the pancreas just needs to take a rest because it looks like that's what Gracie's did yesterday. I think she has been cavorting with her other LL kitty friends who like to do the same thing.  It didn't seem to affect her because she and Tobey had their regular Sunday morning wrestlemania bout in the sheets. They know that Sunday is bed sheet changing day and both came charging in when they heard us
taking the sheets off the bed. Then the action ensued with much hiding under the sheets we'd tossed on the carpet for them to play in....it's a diversion  While we put the clean sheets on the bed, they are romping in the ones we took off. Otherwise, we could never get the bed made because they get under the clean sheets as we are putting them on and then we have LUMPS in the bed    Anyway...they were very entertaining to say the least. Where WAS our new camera!!!
Today is back to the vetty for Tobey to try and resolve the proliferative gum. Not looking forward to it.....he's so happy and he does not like the vetty anymore. After that and depending on how Gracie's day is shaking out, it's grocery shopping. Count down to the boys' arrival: 4 days.
I went to bed early feeling like a cold was coming on; Mike stayed up with Gracie until midnight; at 1:30 am, the smoke alarm in our bedroom started beeping and I was so out of it, I thought there was a fire but it was just the battery going out. So Mike hauled the TALL ladder in for the second time yesterday and changed out the battery. Why do they always go out in the middle of the night?
And I'm very excited today because the new fixtures (faucets, showerhead, etc) are going into the guest bathroom!! I've been wanting to change them out and the pending visit has gotten me off my patootie to get them ordered, bought, and installed. There was nothing wrong with the old ones but we've been in the house nine years now and I believe it's good to keep updating when you can. We also have new outside doors coming this week for our room and the office and I'm anxious to get those on as they are steel decorative doors and we'll be able to leave our inner bedroom doors open at night and get the breeze. The cool thing is we have a Habistore in Tucson and so we can take good, working order things from our house that we're changing out and donate them so they can be used in houses that Habitat for Humanity is building.
Hope you all have a splendid day. Sending hugs.
