So we spent yesterday all over board. We went from 240 in the a.m. down to 40, back up to 250 and everywhere in between, multiple times throughout the day....So I just want to make sure I extend a big thanks to my guy Boo, for adding 3 gray hairs and a little more funk to the sway in my step.

Good thing today is another day and so far, an oh-so-easy coast thus far. Unfortunately....this is what I've learned with Boo:

We're have a stormy Nor'easter upon us for the next few days....We're across the street from the beach, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE, these storms. The wind is magnificent, , the sea-grass and pom-pass blow sideways, and the skies are this whitish gray color that you never see any other time of the year. And it never seems like they bring much rain, but rather, just a bustling, enormous amount of turbulent energy. For me.....it's electric and magical and leaves me feeling so alive! So bring it on Boo....I've got some extra juju on-board for you my friend!

Good morning Jessica

Hope Boo coasts for you today (and his karmic twin Jetson, too)!
It seems we're getting the rain here - albeit in spurts.

Love that pic - kitty's plotting something for sure

Enjoy your day!

Hi Jessica, good morning to you and Boo and thanks for visiting our condo. I answered your question on the meters in my condo. Wow, you have had every color of the rainbow there lately. I like Boo's 145 right now, so hope he surfs some nice blues and greens. I love the pic of the smiling kitty. They sure do keep us guessing. I love the way you describe the storm; I love the rain and storms, too, as it so rarely happens here. Have a wonderful day and scritches to Boo.

Lovely, day for Boo.....at least so far it is a beautiful surf!

We have the wind, but it is sunny -- maybe rain by this afternoon and tonight. I do LOVE these kind of days...the doors are open, the AC is off.....

Maybe Boo was anticipating the storm and his numbers were raging yesterday!
He's moving in the good direction today. Hope you all enjoy the storm and are warm and dry!

Re: 10/8 Boo Radley AMPS 205, +5.5 143

Hi again! Our vet had us get the alpha trak once we started home testing back in May. After I found the FDMB, I learned there about the difference in the numbers between the alpha trak and the human meters. I'm not really sure our vet understands that though. We also send Zener's spreadsheet weekly to the vet and only go in when he needs a checkup or treatment for something. We communicate by email weekly and it makes it easier if we are using the same meter. I also get the strips from ADW for about 95 cents each. We use the Relion micro for our back up meter and the strips are about 35 cents each. So much cheaper, so we are tempted to switch. And, we also see similar variances to what Ann sees. We're pretty used to the Alpha Trak and it does not use much blood, so we keep using it for now.

Re: 10/8 Boo Radley AMPS 205, +5.5 143

That's a better number BooBoo...no steep dives tho'....

The 'shoot early' consideration I had last night would have only been 45 minutes to an hour early...

Thanks for your hand-holding this morning Jessica, I wasn't full of panic but I was indecisive...

I love that pic! Indeed, what tricky maneuver are you planning behind that grin, kitty?

Re: 10/8 Boo Radley PMPS 263, +6 61

Uh Boo.....where you going so fast? I guess that's not really that fast....I'm just slow

Great pics in LL today!!

hi jessica - thanks for your concern about punkin. had good emails from both docs (i mentioned them in punkin's condo) and the basic answer was that whatever i was seeing wasn't radiation related because it's either too late or too early. they said to take him in to the local vet if he wasn't better, but i think he's doing ok. wish i had this CSU team for my regular vets!

our babies sure do know how to add those gray hairs, don't they?! love the sound of your storm! 2 years ago we went to visit our eldest daughter who was in Alabama for a couple of years and that was my first experience at the Gulf Coast. It's pretty amazing. very different from the pac nw coast, that's for sure! enjoy your electricity - i'm imagining your hair all lifted up around your head!

I fell asleep so early....which was good because we've been a little busy since +5 :-D I have to say after the big drop from 263 during my zzzz time....it's been fairly low key. Because it was so slow going down....I didn't feed the 48, and sure enough, he brought himself right back up. I'm beginning to think someone's traded my cat in the last 24 hours....

The true test will be the reaction bounce...this is where my boy shows his true colors ;-) ;-)

BTB for me....4:30's looking awfully near

PS - Julie thanks for posting the vet's response over here....I'm relieved and glad to be in the know.
