Yesterday's Loose LIps

I resent the email to Dr. B just in case he never received it (has happened before). Got his Out of Office reply :-| I gues he took today off for the holiday weekend, Sunday and Monday are his normal days off, so he won't be back in until Tuesday. Which is ok. Leroy is still being Leroy @-) If anything changes of course, it will be off to the ER.

Can young cats get acid reflux? Long shot of a guess.

Apparently they can: http://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions/digestive/c_ct_gastroesophageal_reflux However Leroy isn't showing any of those symptoms, not the symptoms listed on that web site anyways.

I should have asked the vet at work yesterday for his opinion ohmygod_smile I'll send him the vidoe link and follow up with a phone call on Monday. He's been helpful with Squishy and the gerbils before and he's always teasing me about my defective pets  He takes payments of cookies for the consult :-D

you could always give him a bit of Pepcid AC to see if it helps. wouldn't hurt him. i think the dose is 1/4 of a 20mg tablet.

here's a pic of one of the quilts i'm taking to a show today. this one was made by my grandma with help from my mom in the early 1950's, probably 1953. it's all rayons and satins, and the pattern is called Grandmother's Flower Garden. It's completely hand-pieced and quilted. The second quilt i'm taking to the show is a Grandmother's Fan that my paternal great-aunt made in the mid 1930's. That one was pieced around that time but someone had it machine-quilted probably in the 1980's, which makes it a "Generations" quilt: pieced in one era and finished in another.

The exhibit is called "Quilting in the Family" and is part of the Machine Quilters Exhibition in Portland. It's a conference that runs all of the next week.

BEAUTIFUL quilt! We're a big quilt family too. I have one that my grandmother made using the same pattern as your picture. Each of the squares is made from a piece of clothing that belonged to my GREAT grandmother.

THANK YOU for sharing it!

We've always used 1/4 of a 10 mg tablet.

I hope Leroy starts to feel better soon!

Hi Julie, that's a beautiful quilt. Have fun next week at the Quilters Exhibition.

I sure hope Leroy feels better. This sounds a little strange, but is it possible he could have swallowed a piece of string. I'm just thinking back on this happening to my GA kitty, and I can't remember his symptoms it was so long ago.

Nice quilt

Leroy is acting just fine so I don't want to give him any meds. He just has these random weird panting/lip smacking episodes. They last a few seconds and afterwards Leroy acts like nothing had happened. My place is Leroy-proof so there's nothing he could have gotten into.
