Happy 11th Birthday Tarragon! We lubs you lots!​


Good morning LL!

All 5 p's present. Tarragon must have known it was his birthday because he slept next to my face all night with plenty of purrs and face touching with his paw. That is VERY unusual for Tarragon. We loves you big guy! You gave us quite a scare a couple of weeks ago and didn't know if we would be able to celebrate this big day with you!! DS is coming home tomorrow for the weekend to see T-man and us of course. :lol: We are running in the Race for the Cure 5K as a family.

Tracy - He does. I finally told him on the phone on day 3 in the hospital. He has had so much homework and started a new research asst job so hasn't had time to come home. He usually doesn't make it home at all during the semester, so this will be a special treat for all of us.

That's a nice, low blue for you little guy. Hopefully you'll come down a bit more for your Momma Bean? Not TOO low, ok? Don't want to worry your Momma.

We'll be FINALLY in the 80's today. The cold front came through while we were sleeping, and I woke up to 69. :-D And a NE wind, too.

We have had many friends who have battled breast cancer and some have lost. It is a fear that I think is there for all of us in the back of our minds as women. I was surprised by the number of men who are diagnosed as well. As a family, it is one cause that we are very supportive of and Tulsa has a wonderful showing at Race for the Cure, with well over 12,000 participating in the run or walk last year raising $850K. It looks like there will be more than that this year.

It's wonderful that Mason is coming home for visits, and - of course - for the race! What a wonderful thing to do as a family.

Hi Melissa, It is wonderful that your whole family will be doing the Race for the Cure together. When we lived in NYC I did this race every year. My old racewalking training partner is a 25-year breast cancer survivor. She no longer races, but she still tries to get out and walk every day and I know that she will be wearing her pink visor at this year's event. (Sadly, we will be remembering several close friends who did not survive this awful disease.)

Melissa, not only are you a great momma bean, great person, & are a kind & charitable person as well..My DM, DGM,DSIL & many friends have suffered from this disease, so we well know it's effect..

Donny says he and T-man share multiple bonds, being sugarcats, tuxedo kitties, and Maine Coons! (though Donny's only half Coon; he got his momma's foldie ears :cool:)

Congrats on being able to celebrate this wonderful occasion after such a scary time.

So glad you will all be together to celerbrate and what a wonderful thing to do as a family. My aunt died of BC at age 26 long before I was born. There was so little that could be done in the 1930's. Always has been a big concern in our family so thank you for what you do!

Well you would think he is training for a downhill race! :lol: That is quite the drop. Looks like it will be a long night. He is super cuddly tonight though. Lots of bumps, purrs and headbutts for mama.

Awww...yeah, that's quite a drop, but how sweet is he?? It's so wonderful to hear how happy he is, after the huge scare he gave all of us. Have a great evening - hopefully he'll find that surf board and it won't run too late!!!
