Hello!!
I'm settling in from a very stressventful (stressful + eventful) week in Baton Rouge. I've missed being on the board!
Sushi seems to be steadily hanging out in the yellows, which is right where I want him to be; considering. I'm so glad we've found a "safe" dose to stick with until the storm has passed. He continues to amaze me with how much he's improved just from switching to canned food and sticking to a consistent schedule. He's grooming like crazy now, playing, and being the rascal from days of old. In fact, I came home to some odd junk in the hall; I think they were fur balls. I took pictures; can I post them to get a second opinion or is that too gross? It's been so long since he's groomed himself I don't remember what a fur ball looks like!
I finally caught him to take a ketone test a few minutes ago. It's probably been almost 2 weeks since the last time I was able to catch him for one! :-| It was negative; yeah!!

More than anything, I want to say thank you to everyone for offering to send us supplies. I was really in trouble for a few days there; it was horrible! But we made it through, and we should be in good shape from now on. Your concern and generosity was just amazing! Especially that of Julie!
Thank you all so much for what you've done for Sushi and me! I so appreciate you! : )
Have a great weekend!

..oops! Forgot to include a link to my last post.

Hi Ashley - It is so great to read about how much better sushi is doing. I love it when we see the kitty that used to be - playful, happy, grooming, and leaving us furballs! Congrats!

I hope the week settles for you. new things etc can be so very stressful. have a wonderful weekend. and Sushi - keep on playing!

glad to hear that sushi's feeling more like himself again!

a hair ball looks like a clump or log of hair with watery oogie stuff around it. if you don't see it again i wouldn't worry too much, but it might be a good idea to comb/brush sushi a bit more.

just glad you got through the pinch - i'm sure you'll be happy in your new job. you're welcome. when are you moving to baton rouge?
