After Gracie's test/feed/shoot this morning, I received a pm from Susan that Tiberious had crossed the Rainbow Bridge......and I haven't been able to get my day going for thinking of Susan and Kevin and sweet, handsome Tiberious. What loving beans he had and Mike, Teddi, Gus, Gracie, Tobey, and I wish him a safe journey lit by wonderful candles to join his GA brothers and sisters and we send all the sympathy our hearts hold to Susan and Kevin.
Congrats today to Mr. Howell...OTJ!!!
Gracie is doing lovely today although in a bounce. She decided that "yesterday" she liked the .75u dose. I think her numbers probably would have stayed down lower last night if it weren't for possibly some delayed vetty stress but who knows. ...at least I know what she CAN do on this dose. Our darling itty bitty girl has a very petite and feminine meow to go with her little self. Scottish Folds are known for being quiet (uh....they forgot to tell Gus). But when she thinks I'm gone or doesn't know where I am, she can have this bottom of the gut, full-mouth open bellow    I was in the office last night and heard her do this and so walked down the hall to check on her; she was on the counter and ever so demurely looked at me and gave me one of her normal, tiny, barely open-the-mouth "mews". So I went back to the office. Another bellow. Back down the hall to check on her and she was looking around as if to say "not me making that horrid noise" and gave me a little purr/chirp.    I know it was her...lil stinka.
I hope all of you who are in the storm's path are safe and have evacuated safely or are weather-proofed. My stepson, Jason (who is like my son as I have been his "mildly wicked stepmother" as he calls me since he was 3) lives in NYC but was in Virginia with a friend and so I thought he was safe and sound. I texted him this morning and he went back to the City a couple days ago and now I am nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile about him. He said he has lots of food and water and has taped the windows in the high-rise apt he lives in....but I'm still concerned as is Mike. Speaking of whom, Mike was supposed to be in Philly tonight and tomorrow night and they have rerouted him to Chicago where he will sit until Monday morning in the hopes of getting into Philly to get delayed passengers out.
I have things I need to get done but since Gracie is high, I'm wondering if I should go see "The Help" and get an early dinner out. Might do me some good and get me out as Mike is on a 4-day trip. So...off to visit condos and then maybe go out for a bit. Have a good day!
