Yesterday's Condo

Good morning everyone,

Well, it does look like Casey is doing a great job coming off yesterday’s bounce!! That said, I am a little nervous for today, not sure how low she will be going while at work. I will be trying to come home for lunch around +3.5ish, we will see how well that works out… lol For this mornings food I mixed in some 7% carb with some 3% to hopefully let her go down smoothly…slow and steady as to prevent another bounce. (I usually give her 3% carb or less)

Numbers aside, I asked Casey this morning what she liked best about the Relion Micro, she said “the strap”… ;-) She loves to play w/the strap.

AMPS: 265
Put down: when all said and done about 1/2 5.5oz can Friskie 7% & 1/2 3oz can FF 3% carb - trying to put it out in smaller portions.
3rd cycle: 1.25u
+4.7: 71
Put down more of the food (mentioned after AMPS)
+5.4: 81 - not bad considering she ate about +4.8-+5, time to head back to work
PMPS: 313
Put Down: about 1/4 3oz can of 0% FF
4th cycle: 1.25u
Put Down: another 1/4 3oz can of 0% FF
+1.6: 346 - was hiding under the bed, not usual for her except when there are a lot of strangers in the house.
Put Down: the rest of 3oz can of 0% FF - she was acting as if she was starving

Good morning! Looks like the "b" is over. Good idea on the food. I usually give 6% during the week while I am at work just in case Tarragon would decide to dip while I was gone. He gets 3% at night. Hope you have a great day!

Hi guys .. nice yellows for casey this morning .. we cut the strap off our relion cause it was mocha's favorite too .. especially when we were trying to test! Have a great day!

Woohoo!!! we struck green!!

I will either sit with Casey early at test time so she can play with it or allow her to play with it after as a bonus for letting me prick her. lol

:YMSIGH: Casey came down from her bounce so nicely earlier, and now BG of 313... I think it was stress related. Sometime after I went back to work she stepped in some soft boo in the litter box, clumping litter...what a mess. :roll: She was sooo upset that I was trying to clean the...mess...out of her paw. lol I guess the bright side is that she displayed her feisty, stubburn more than I have seen in a while.

:?: Would this event cause that much of a jump in BG #'s? (see her chart)

Poor Casey...I'm sure she felt icky from her LB incident. But it's good that she was fiesty about the "clean up!" I would guess, though, that her PMPS is another bounce off her greens today (and that +1 was probably a food spike). It does take a while for the liver and pancreas to start working together again, and until that happens, you'll see these bounces. Believe it or not, over time, these bounces will be less severe and less frequent (yeah, I didn't believe it either, but check out Trixie's SS!) Don't get discouraged...you'll get there!!!
