7/28 Champ AMPS 93, +6 54, PMPS 121, +2 78, +3 66, +4 79

Yesterday

Champ had a pretty good evening cycle last night which led to a very good AMPS this morning. I was too tired to stay up last night testing so when I saw the 78 at +3.5 last night, I didn't give him any higher carbs than normal, just his 3% FF. When I checked him before bed at +5 and saw a 73, I figured I was safe to go to bed, but I did give him a spoonful of 13% just in case. I got up at his +10.5 and tested him and he was at 91. He was pathetically crying for food (as usual) so I gave him a tiny bit of 2% FF and some freeze dried salmon. That obviously agreed with him because he only came up two points by his AMPS. I don't know why I was so tired this morning. After finishing all my morning accounts, I just had to have a lie down for a bit. That "bit" turned into two hours!!! I didn't think to test Champ before I laid down (which I should have because the 77 at +3 was carb influenced from a spoon of 13% with the 50 at +2.5). I woke up to find Champers sleeping inside his cube, which tells me he's low (he likes to sleep in his cube when he goes low) and, sure enough, he was at 54. I don't know if this was the lowest he went or if he was rising, but I gave him a spoonful of 13% anyway.

Champ seemed to really be feeling well this morning!!! He was very active, purring a lot, and giving himself a wash. I hope it continues!!!

Hey, hey!! I was looking for you just a minute ago...and there you were. That has happened so many times to me. I see Gus has some good numbers and decide to go to sleep because all is safe. Then, when I test after waking up, he's relatively low. I think, "Is this his lowest or am I catching him on the way back up?" He has been flirting with low yellows, blues, and greens for some time now. I am a little confused as to what to do. You've become an experienced doser. What would you suggest? I trust the FDMB dose 'experts', but also you and Julie. Your advice, please.

Hi Patty, wow, Champs is seeing some nice greens and staying low even with adding fuds with carbs. I can understand why you're tired. Eventually the missed sleep catches up with us. That's interesting that Champ going into the cube is a signal that he's getting low. Maggie seems to have a look about her that gives me a signal or she is antsy about wanting food. Hope you get all your work done.

Maybe my sleep deprivation has caught up to me...finally...cuz I just gotta say...

I'm having the hardest time not calling someone out about being a riddle-speaking troublemaker. I'm so glad that I'm content enough in my life to not have to stir the pot just to see what sloshes over into the fire, and that 99.999% of the others on this board are the same!!

Champ has been sleeping since at least his +3 this morning!!! I actually had to wake him up to eat dinner!! I don't know why he's so tired. He's the one who woke me up at 4 a.m. this morning, not the other way around. Geez, if he would just stay in bed later in the morning, he wouldn't need to sleep all flippin afternoon!! To be honest, I kinda like it when he sleeps the afternoon away. That way, he doesn't beg me for food and I don't have to feel bad when I don't give it to him...or do give it to him...either way, I feel bad!!

Wow, I wish I had to wake Jesse up to eat :roll:

And I hear ya about laying down for a minute. I seem to do that every night ~7 pm watching TV. Next thing I know it's 9:00 and I get up and go to bed. But hey, at least that way I get an extra test in the PM.

so agreed on the "just a short closing of the eyes..." my worst time is the evening.. I cannot count the numbers of shows I have missed, or only seen half of. :lol: :lol:

I have to chuckle... I actually just finished an episode of Storage Wars (my new embarrassing guilty pleasure) that I fell asleep watching last night!!! ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile

Great numbers for Champ! What a great guy. I can never nap. You definitely must have needed it. Even beans need to rest! Have a great weekend!
