WHOA! :o    Another BLUE day for the Manster! They are such a wonderful low level blues! I thought with the +10 yesterday at 100, the pmps of 103 that maybe we'd hit green. But, nahhhhhhh... Mannie went to the 130's, and seemed content to stay there. He must really be into the blues.... Well done big guy! LUBS YA! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand, and normal... I wonder if I would awaken in time if I didn't have the kitty choir.... I don't remember hearing the alarm, from a for-real alarm clock, anymore... scary! I suppose I should be thankful for bellows, and screeches, and claws and the relentless nagging to get up.  I had all three of them again this morning.  Thanks guys! We had a great test feed and shoot - lots of purrs from Mannie. Clean plate club status intact - though I can't say the same for the civvies... they left scraps: a fact that did not go unnoticed by the Mannie... the bean had to run interception. Heaven forbid that he gets "those carbs".   This morning he stayed with me in the bathroom while I attempted to be human... look human...feel human. He never misses a morning. It has become our ritual. Things like that make the day seem special. And the whacking? per the norm, everybody got at least one... and the nanners?: reclaimed - all. night. long. apparently there was a faint aroma of tiny humans scent.... :o :o :o :o

We are back on DGS duty today, through Friday. I hope to visit condos while he is here, but it is doubtful - just not enough time... do know though that I am thinking of you all, and your furkids. Think GREEN kitties! I took Nicholas on a river hike yesterday - what fun! Below are a few pics of where we were. Very nice river! home to endless bald eagles and an endless supply of salmon...

My Friends!! I have been so busy... that tiny human left his scent on my nanners! :o My bean says he didn't touch them.... but I dunno.... they smell funny, ya know? I spent ALL NIGHT making it right. Boy am I tired... Anyways... what shall we do today? I hear Sara is sick - maybe we should get the KTSS to visit - and Enana had a dental, and we need to go an visit her too! Maybe after that we could do some rafting? By bean took that tiny human to a really cool river... I dunno - Let me Know - I am ready for anything!! ~~ Mannie

Re: 7/28 Mannie AMPS 195

It sounds like your kitties love you -- why else would they sing? (Ok, so they want food but they're singing!!)

Mannie and Gabby look like they are hanging out on the same floor this morning.

Re: 7/28 Mannie AMPS 195

I like this AMPS today. Beautiful river photo too. Give Nicholas a big squeeze for me, he's such a cutie!
Oh, Mannie, you are cute too.

Re: 7/28 Mannie AMPS 195, +2 246

Mannie keep singing the blues!
So nice that the furbabies are considerate enough to make sure you don't miss breakfast, there breakfast of course

Those are beautiful pics, I bet Nicholas loved his trek to the river.

Re: 7/28 Mannie AMPS 195, +2 246

Hi Michelle,
Nice blue day yesterday and I bet blue and green today! So sweet with the kitty choir and Mannie waiting in the bathroom with you. How cool with you and DGS taking a river hike, and beautiful pics. He is growing so fast and looks like he's enjoying every minute. Oh no, has Mannie noticed the scent on his nanners? Maybe you could rub some catnip on them! Have a nice day and enjoy time with DGS.

Hi Mannie, I think visits to Sara and Enana would help cheer them up and some soup, too and tlc. Yes, we need the KTSS. That sounds fun with the river rafting, too. See ya soon, Maggie

Re: 7/28 Mannie AMPS 195, +2 246

Re: 7/28 Mannie AMPS 195, +2 246

Sing them Blues Mannie!
cat-song.jpg

What great pics! Everything is so GREEN up there! And even the river is blue, not brown or empty! Lucky Nicholas to get taken out to see it so early in his life. So what's on the agenda today?

Mannie! KTSS it is! Got my special No Vetty Smell spa treatments all packed. You bring the soup! -- Tess

Re: 7/28 Mannie AMPS 195, +2 246, +4 212

Beautiful pix & such a cute boy!!! DGS is a real trooper-do you use a stroller? Or is he a papoose?
Looks like he likes it!!
Mannie & his gang so funny with their escapades! Hope you all have a great day--Lubs & Hugs from us!! :-D

Re: 7/28 Mannie AMPS 195, +2 246, +4 212

Morning everyone! And while the tiny human, aka DGS, sleeps we shall attempt an update...

amps 195
+2 246
+4 212
and we are yellow.... guess the blues broke, but the wrong way...  and down you go Mannie... don't make me start thinking dosecrease....

Hey Sienne -  on the singing - that is so true.... plus they know what side of the bread their butter is on... I wonder where that saying came from. Mannie seems to have found the yellow floor. I hope Gabby didn't go there too.

Morning CD - Me too on the amps, thought the +2 was ... well.... darn it! thx on the photo - it really is a nice place. Affirmative on the squeeze for DGS - no problem what-so-ever dishing those out...
Auntie CD? - I'm way cuter than that tiny human,.... WAY CUTER!! ~~ Mannie

Hi Iorwen - He's trying! They seem to have taken on a yellow cast this morning... hopefully he will get back there... soon! sheshhhh - I know on the breffis. It gets so chaotic here when things are a minute late. cats!

Hi Ann, and Miss Maggie - I so hope so on the blues and the greens -he seems to be derailed for a bit this morning... I do like Mannie's morning bathroom visits - one on one time. He purrs and purrs... it's great! Yep DGS does like being out on hikes or just visiting the shore here. It is good to see, and I hope it stays that way. We sure are trying! The nanner thing was funny. He seems to be satisfied with them now.. we have moved onto bed sleeping.

Hi Devon - me too on the blue... now he just needs to find it again. Looks like he is headed that way... YAY! life is good in MannieLand - it's been a good morning for them...

Hi Ann, and Miss Tess - I was going to sign him up for a music contract if he kept it up with all those blues.... a natural vocalist!! however.... what was it you wrote lat night about my wondering when it would break, and be careful what you wish for as those breaks can go either way?? seems so! I got the "other way"  -- Thx on the pics - we do be green! One of the pluses of living here - rivers are always full, and are the most gorgeous shades of blues and greens. exceptionally nice! Nicholas really enjoys the outdoors, so I go as often as I can. Today we are going to the shore here... He needed a day to nap in his bed, rather than the car rive... so we will travel tomorrow, Mannie be willing. Today: local woods hike to the shoreline. YAY!!

Tess - I am all ready!! Soups in the pots, really to roll. YAY!! Off we go See you soon! ~~ Mannie

Hey Maggie - I so agree!! KTSS it is! Soup is on as we speak.... I hope so too on the river rafting-it looks so cool. See you soon ~~ Mannie

Re: 7/28 Mannie AMPS 195, +2 246, +4 212

Hi Roni - missed your post!!

I use what is equivalent to a papoose - a front loading backpack - so he sits on my chest... works darn well, frees the hands, and he can see where he is headed, lets him touch what is touchable, kick all he wants. He really does love it. The excitement on his face when I get out the pack etc -he knows what it is all for. and thanks - great day so far!

Re: 7/28 Mannie AMPS 195, +2 246, +4 212, +6 173

Michelle, it sounds as if you know how to make a happy DGS and a happy Nanner Meister. I love the pictures that you post. We have nice scenery here in the Northeast, but yours seems so much more accessible. Anyway, keep on snapping them fotos.

Re: 7/28 Mannie AMPS 195, +2 246, +4 212, +6 173

*whew* thank goodness mannie was able to restore his nanners to decency! it's a big job being the nanner Monitor! i posted a pic in punkin's condo today and thought it reminded me of mannie, although not around the ears.

have a fun time with the DGS! i hope i get grandkids while i'm still able to enjoy them.

Re: 7/28 Mannie +10.5 163, PMPS 173, +2 171

Sorry to be so MIA tonight - a few things I needed to get done....

recap:
163 @ 10.5
173 @ pmps
171 @ +2
BLUE! again... though we seem to be higher than normal... Mannie??? Time for some greens I think!

Hi Bev - A happy Mannie is easy... nanners and catnip and a few scritches. DGS is a welcome easy. Take him outside, and a guaranteed happy kid. Hey thanks on the photos. We do OK here with the accessibility, for most of what people want to get to. We do have our toughies though too... I have been on a few access roads to some of these trails that are mighty unfriendly  my poor car! It's been ages since I have been able to visit the NE, but I do like it there - some very nice places...

Hi Julie - I have to check out your condo - I haven't been able to truly visit anyone yet... I love my DGS and our time together but it sure puts a damper on this stuff.... and UI know about having grandkids while still being able to enjoy them. I am grateful. My sons however are along way from even thinking along those lines... a lady would need to be involved, and they seem to be void of one of those....   -- And yes on the nanners... it was just so funny - he kept sniffing and sniffing... fixing, then the sniffing would start all over again.

Hi Natalia - thanks for the visit! I am glad that Enana's dental went well. YAY!! Mannie is due to a check up too - and I dread going... I just know they will say ""he needs a dental" - we end up going that route twice a year. Last time was not fun!

Hey Enana - OPEN WISE!! I wanna see your pearly whites I hoe the vetty wasn't too bad.... but why - you got clean toothies now. AWESOME! ~~ Mannie

Re: 7/28 Mannie +10.5 163, PMPS 173, +2 171

Your pics have made me decide that I need to make a trip to see some relatives in Washington. I've never been any higher up the states than Idaho or Northern California. I see I'm really missing something beautiful!!!

It looks like Mannie has decided that blue is still the color of the day!!! Way to go Mannie!!!!

Re: 7/28 Mannie +10.5 163, PMPS 173, +2 171

Mannie is looking awesome tonight!! I always love, love all your pics... wish we had nature like that nearby! No hiking here... toooooooo hot!!

Hope you're having a great evening! Another big day with Nicholas planned for tomorrow?

Re: 7/28 Mannie PMPS 173, +2 171, +3.5 128

128 @ 63.5. YAY! coming down some - go Mannie!

Hi Patty - YAY! We do have some mighty fine places... Just a drive through the mountain passes are awesome! And yes - blue is still the color of the day! BLUE MANNIE!

Hi Christie - Thanks on the pics! HOT is the optimal word in the eastern part of our state. I love hiking over there too, but only go in the spring, when it is much cooler. It is hard to hike when it is 90-100 out there.... and yep - tomorrow the little guy and I are headed up to one of the passes, to visit a waterfall I have read about. new place for me, so we shall see how good it is, it is supposed to be geared for kids. . It is hard in a way to find short hikes for him... it takes twice as long to do anything when I have him with me, so we have to plan real well.... well, duh! flatter terrain is better too- he gets really heavy after a while.....

Re: 7/28 Mannie PMPS 173, +2 171, +3.5 128

Beautiful pictures! So sweet that Mannie sits with you while you get ready in the morning. What a great thing to look forward to.

Have a great weekend!!

Re: 7/28 Mannie PMPS 173, +2 171, +3.5 128

Hi Michelle & Mannie,
What an interesting day you had today with the kitties and with your hike with Nicholas. Love the pics. Nicholas looks like a real hiker. And you must be getting strong carrying him in the pack, especially since he is getting bigger now! I'm glad Mannie came back down to blue. Rusty is looking forward to KTSS and some swimming in the blue/green lagoon this evening.

Enjoy the evening. see you tomorrow. We had a neat day of paddling today and a nice dinner with our friends. And Rusty came back down to green!!

Ella & Rusty

Re: 7/28 Mannie PMPS 173, +2 171, +3.5 128

Hey Michelle: sorry to just be getting to a few condos. It's almost 9 and we haven't even had dinner. Glad to see Mannie still chugging away in the blue!!!

Beautiful photos!!! lOVE THEM!!! Have agreat night. Will catch up tomorrow.

Re: 7/28 Mannie PMPS 173, +2 171, +3.5 128, +4.5 95

95 @ +4.5. YAY!! Finally, some green! SWEET!

Hi Melissa - It is -and I do look forward to it every morning... Sometimes he's late,... bummer! but he eventually shows... it is fun. and thanks on the photos!

Hi Ella - never a dull moment here.... Nicholas is fun. He really does like being out on the trails. I have never ever had him fuss or complain. He gets fed out there, that he really likes, though he has a tendency to be distracted by all that he sees. It can take awhile to feed him.  and yes on the weight thing. I do fine with him - until he falls sleep.... then I really feel the weight, as everything falls forward, and is 100% dead weight. OMG! . If we have to go uphill that can be very tiring. those 16 pounds then feel like 50... it is interesting though - back packing a kid, or in this case, front packing is not too bad... I really don't feel it too much. Great workout for the legs... and the back... --YAY on the green for Rusty - Mannie just made it too. A green lagoon swim for the boys tonight!

Hi Marje - no problem, really... busy days = busy nights, so no worries! I remember what it was/is like. I think you should just have some good dinner, relax some... we here all understand. Know I do... and will you look at that - Mannie finally made some green. SWEET!!

Re: 7/28 Mannie PMPS 173, +2 171, +3.5 128, +4.5 95, +5.5 72

72 @ +5.5, fed a little 10% MC, and will check him at +6. We should be at nadir by then.... hope so... this bean is tired. aren't we all. :-D

WOOT! I'm glad you are finally seeing green, just sorry it is so late.

You went to the Lagoon? Geeze, i just left. I'll try to get back a little later. -- Tess
