Champ is on a roll!!! He's his usually lovey, sweet self this morning. He ate his first two sittings of breakfast with gusto and then gave himself a bath. He's just been such a love muffin lately, it makes me just want to hug the stuffing out of him!!!

I know today is going to be another busy one at work so I'll be visiting condos in bits and spurts. I hope everyone has a really wonderful Wednesday!!! :-D

Oh, my Champers! Green is great, but slow down so you can stay here! Tess is waiting at the lagoon!

Re: 7/13 Champ AMPS 150, +2 113, +4 48

I'm trying to conserve strips so I didn't want to test before +4, even though I knew he would probably be low by then. At least I caught him before it got dangerous. :-D I hope my strips get here today or I'll have to buy some at Walmart and that will piss me off. I bought some on ebay last wednesday, paid for them right then and there, and the doofus didn't mail them out until Monday. A medical supply and he thinks I can wait for it? Puhleese! Oh well, at least my backup meter (which I've been using for the past couple weeks) is a Relion and those strips are pretty inexpensive. It will only cost me $9 to get a 20-pack.

I got my strips in the mail for my Accu-Chek Aviva. I got such a good deal on them (300 strips for $45 because most of them expire at the end of August) that I felt I had to get them because it's even cheaper than the Relion strips. There are a few things I don't care for about the Aviva, though. First, these strips require more blood than the Relion which equals more pokes for Champers. Second, the Aviva is more like an AlphaTrak. I just tested Champ and used the same drop of blood for both meters. There is a 40-point difference between the two meters. I did the comparison twice and came up with the same difference. I'm going to note the change of meter usage on Champ's SS so I remember why his numbers all of a sudden spiked up again.
