Well not as juw dropping as her 114 yesterday morning, but she isn't greeting me with sunny yellow or sunrise pink anymore. Instead I'm being awakened to purrs and headbutts, and cuddles then a lovely blue number. The .5u seems to be working for her, I just wish I could get her to stop really dropping off at +2 and then zooming up again late in her cycle. But I think a lot of that is still her settling in to the household and all the noise of the upcoming holiday. Time will tell.

I love purrs and headbutts early in the morning. I hope this dose works out for her. It's a nice blue for the start of the day.

It seems she has decided to like the blue crayon today. :-D She really does look so much better in blue :-D But I'm ready to kill this town I live in, I went to go restock on syringes after going to 3 out of the 4 places in town that sell insulin syringes and not being to find any place that carries the ones with the 1/2unit marks, I finally find them at Walgreens...but...there is always a but...they have them, but won't sell them to me since I don't have a prescription not for insulin but for syringes on file with them, even though State Law doesn't require a prescription for syringes..<bangs head on wall> :evil: Then to add insult to injury I walk in the door, turn on the TV and there is a commercial on about "Buying Locally"...well I would if I could, sheesh. So it is back to ordering them online, and until they can get here, I'm going to have to eyeball her .5u on syringes with only whole unit marks...just great, glad I'm near-sighted.

I swear living out here in the middle of nowhere isn't worth chewing through the leather straps to get up in the mornings. Okay, rant off.

yes, i live in a city of 55,000ish and it's remarkable what you can't get here! :lol: we're fairly anti-business with lots of rules and regs to maintain the quality of a small town - but i do try to buy locally on most everything. the diabetic supplies, though, i get online. when you're talking about 1/3 the cost and it's expensive no matter what . . . well i justify it by getting all my gifts locally.

just my opinion...but the walgreens brand syringes are the worst i've ever used...

Mine too, but since it was the only place in town that seemed to have the half unit marks I was gonna try, but alas I can't buy them anyhow..lol

I'd suggest making up an exemplar syringe and use a colored liquid. It's much easier to compare what you're drawing up to a filled syringe than trying to eyeball it each time and hope you're being consistent.

It looks like you're good to shoot. That's a good sized rise.

Already wy ahead of you Sienna...lol I did just that with the syringe, actually did it long before having to go to the full unit syringes just in case DH would have to help shoot, not likely to happen, but better safe than sorry. Musette just seems determined that her shot time is 8:00 pm cst. Everytime I try to rewind her she unwinds herself..lol. But I'm not going to complain as long as she keeps giving me those beautiful blues and greens. Nice to see her preshot numbers slowly dropping.

Get the 0.3 cc size. The order page doesn't say that these have 1/2 unit markings, but they do.

Hi Ella,

Thanks for the link, I bookmarked it. That is so much cheaper than what I had found so far. That was my other infuriating moment today, the only other place that I found in town that happened to have the short needles, wanted $8 for a package of 10...so not happening.
