6/29 Zoe AMPS 240 PMPS 261 Reglan??

Good Morning LL.....hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!

Zoe ate fairly well overnight and was having a good morning until she realized we were heading to the vetty bean :shock: :evil: , then her morning was not so good.... :roll: Check-up went very well....although her new vet would like to see her bgs stay between 150 and 200...I just said uh huh, OK....knowing full well, I am aiming a little lower than those numbers. :roll: Anyway....they were able to get enough urine for a Culture to be sent out.....so now we wait and see if the UTI has cleared up or not. nailbite_smile

He did give me some Reglan or Metoclopramide to try with her. Since she has been off the antibiotics for the UTI, she has been throwing up more....twice were simple scarf and barf, but 3 times were after using her litter box and having a bowel movement.....so has anyone used Metoclopramide with their FD kitties? Does it work? Any problems with bgs?

No more spot checks until PMPS....with the vetty visit, her bg is going to be HIGH! On the good side of the visit she has gained 2 oz!!!! So she now weighs in at 10 lbs 6 oz.....looking good!

Good morning Sherry! Hope the vet didn't stress Zoe out too much. Our vet told me last Saturday that she wanted Tarragon between 200 and 300. I, like you, just said uh-huh.

Hope the UTI is cleared up. We have never used the Reglan but hope it helps Zoe's tummy.

Hi guys .. glad the vet check up went well .. our vet has a real problem with mocha staying in the lower green numbers .. she told us she is "weird" Anyways, I don't have any experience with the meds you were given but others probably know an answer to your question .. have a great day guys!

Hope the UTI has cleared up and the throwing up stops. I went through that a few weeks ago with Tray. The only thing that helped was a cerenia shot.

Hi Sherry, I've not used or heard of this drug for kitties but hopefully someone else may know more about it. I hope the UTI has cleared. Vets usually want the kitties to have higher bg's to keep them safe. Have a good night.

i don't know about either of those drugs but thought i'd bump it up - maybe someone will still see your question.

I've used Reglan with Gabby. It slows gastric motility which may reduce vomiting. There are other anti-emetics that are more targeted for vomiting -- ondansatron is one that I can think of right off the top. The other issue is whether this is just an acid/upset tummy and would Pepsid be just as good or better. You can give both Pepsid and Reglan. I'd see how Zoe doe on the Reglan. (Gabby did fine.)
