The one morning I didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn, Champ decides he's hungry at 4:45. I get up and give him some tuna, thinking this will tide him over until his breakfast time of 6:30. Oh noooo. He comes back at 5:30 and insists he's still starving. I'm figuring, well maybe his sugars are weird and he needs food. So I get up and give him a tiny spoonful of FF so I can test him. His dang BG was 319...not low and certainly not so high he needs to have a meal. The boy just can't go a few hours without food. This is the time I miss having a bowl of dry set out for him to nibble on whenever he wants!! I alway set out some wet for him before I go to bed, but he usually just eats it right away. He can be such a piggy.
Finally, it's breastfast time. He's curled up in his basket, which is on the table next to my desk in my office. Usually when I say "come on, it's breakfast time," he hops down and follows me to the kitchen. Not this morning. I had to carry him, in his basket, mind you, into the kitchen where he laid like a king while I prepared everything. He's sooo spoiled!! At least this morning he ate the Wellness, though not all of it. His BG was high enough this morning that I didn't feel the need to give him what he wanted to eat (FF, of course) and I just left his plate alone. If he gets hungry later, well there it is, enjoy!
All yesterday and again today, I have so much stiffness and pain in my back and neck. Too much time spent at my desk!! Before my daughter leaves for work this afternoon, I'm going to take a really hot shower cuz that always loosens things up and then have her rub me down with some Icy Hot. She'll complain because she hates the smell, but tough sh!t!!! Besides, it smells like wintergreen candy so what's not to like?!! She can pay for her own sushi next time we go if she won't do it!!
I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday!!!!
