Slow descent was the operational phrase for yesterday. Mannie started out high pink, by by mid PM cycle we had found the blues. YAY! How welcome it was. I knew that pink was coming, really couldn't stop it, nothing none of us want to see... Kudos to the Nanner King for leaving it behind, and doing so in a nice slow steady manner. :razz: Mannie - job well done! cat_pet_icon We have a nice blue amps this morning - sweet!

I hope to go today. Mannie? Can I have my permission slip, please? I promise to be a good bean, and be home on time, feed you good FD fuds, and give you lots of cuddles and hugs and pets, and lots of outdoor time if you will let me go... I swear on a stack of nanners....

All is well in MannieLand today. We have glorious weather for us - 70, sunny, might even hit 85. :shock: :shock: Mannie is lovin' it - the doors were open yesterday, allowing him to come and go as he pleased. I had to laugh though - it was as if he knew when he needed to be tested. He'd show up and wait in the kitchen by his testing spot. We'd do out thing, and out he'd go again. :lol: :lol: :razz: I do, however, need to talk to him about the use of outdoor LB's - that it is OK, and please, could you? Twice he came in yesterday, in a big hurry, meowed as he sped on by, headed down to the indoor LB, did his thing, and promptly headed back out side again. :shock: :roll: :roll: Seriously? Mannie? sheshhhh..... We have normalcy this AM: CPC , no feeder :roll: , nom nom nom over fuds :razz: , heavy sighs when he saw my hiking gear :YMSIGH: , leg rubs when I scratched his ears :razz: , and nanners as pillows as he slept :razz: . Life is good!

Wow, Michelle!!! You truly believe the early bird gets the worm, huh?!!! You're out the door and I'm thinking about heading back to bed to try to catch up on all the sleep I lost this past week!!

I love how Mannie has forgotten he can do his duty (doody?) outside :lol: :lol: What great numbers from him yesterday. He really is a master at the slow slide, isn't he?

Hi Michelle, hopefully by now you are well on your way to the hiking spot or are hiking. Mannie, that was so nice of you to give your Bean permission to leave for some fun. So funny that he would rather do his business indoors rather than out doors. You could always place the litter box outside! :lol: Just a thought!

Michelle, hope you are having a wonderful hike and happy to see that Mannie has cooperated so you can leave the house. Once again I am so jeolous of you and your beautiful weather. It is 95 degrees here, humid and very hot! I am not liking this hot weather so soon in June. My DH is working on a Habitat House today and wouldn't you know, the week he is scheduled to help, it is 95 degrees and they are putting the roof shingles on the home! I hope he is drinking lots of water.

ok... let's see.... 230 @ +11, 239 @ PMPS, and I guess that all those carbs this morning didn't do too much damage.. We shall see what he does tonight. I intentionally fed him 10% this morning. I have postponed this hike for over a month.... I had hoped that the 168 this morning, followed by the 204 and the 217 were good enough to be gone all day. I felt it was, so off I went, with my permission slip in my pocket, yet I still worried. sheshhhh.... came home to more yellow - so maybe tonight we can get back to business.

Hike was so so nice! :razz: It was a "desert" hike in the eastern part of out state, with 4 very gorgeous lakes, 3 waterfalls. I did about 7 miles, maybe 1000 feet in elevation gain - or so my gps told me. Crazy part of it all was that it took me 6 hours on the road, for a 3-4 hour hike. but so worth it... the mountain passes today were beautiful too - what a joy to see them en-route.

Hi Sherry - yup, took a ton of photos - I hope to get them uploaded tonight, post on FB then. I think I will include a few in tomorrow's condo for those that don't do FB. --- and yes on the color, especially YES on the no high diving. what a relief!

Hi Christie - 80 was hot enough for me. :lol: :lol: Never did hear how warm it was out there. I try and do these desert ones in the spring, as well in the summer it can be as hot as 100-120 out there, easy. I hope so too on the number tonight. Considering what I had DH feed him throughout the day the 239 isn't too bad.

Hi Roni - I Know.... I worried the whole time I was there. silly bean. I remember his diving days all too well. :roll: He did ok though - phew!! yup - looks like all the kitties are busy!

I love mornings, yes, I know, weird.... oh I know on the LB - all that rush to get back inside for the LB. :roll: :roll: The slow slide was nice - it hasn't always been that way for him - we used to dive something awful. I am glad he, for the most part, doesn't so that any more (anti -jinx!)

Hi Michelle, Your hike sounds wonderful. I'm glad it wasn't too hot. And yes, it is great to have a wonderful hike after you have spent so much time getting to the starting place! Our bike ride on the island in Lake Champlain was beautiful too, but the destruction to the shoreline by the recent flooding is truly awful. The bike path that goes through the lake on an old railroad culvert is pretty much destroyed. We walked on some of it, but it was not rideable.

Nice that Mannie gave you safe numbers today. The kitties are at Cedric's party and living it up in Disney World. Great that Ted could come.

one can't really blame mannie for preferring the indoor flushie that is nice and clean over the unknown of the outdoors. what if there's no tp? what if there are flies buzzing about to distract one? how does one wash up after using the outdoor facilities? can we be sure it's clean? i think there are simply too many unknowns to expect sir mannie to just go anywhere! he thinks so too! :lol:

glad you got your hike - everytime i read of you going out i think "i really should do that." it's so beautiful around here, and we have so many hiking opportunities for day hikes.

I am glad that your ride was nice - it is a shame to read about the shoreline destruction and the loss of the bike path. I hope that in time they will be able to rebuild. We've lost several trail and access roads here this year too.
