Mornin' Lantus Land,
Yesterday's Condo
Attie is bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. The 134 is an anomaly as I am tossing out this morning quite a bit of uneaten rabbit from last night.
This mornings refrigerator fresh bunny was gobbled down with gusto and much lip smacking good sounds. So I front loaded this mornings serving and we shall see ....
Well lots of yard work waits for me this morning, before I need to make my pet sitting rounds. Limbs, trees, and leaves need to be cleaned up, washed off the house, and gutters cleared of them darn whirly bird seed pods from the maple trees. I may see if I can sneak in my truck for a storm damage inspection too. Darn lease vehicle, you know how the pinch you for every dent and ding. Plan a trip to the garden center later in the week to replace what was damaged in my veggie garden too. All those plants I started from seed...shredded, just shredded. I am looking at the hosta now and their leaves have just been shredded too from that darn storm/tornado. They do know it was a tornado as some brave soul(s) obtained actual pictures of the funnel(s). I am hearing there was a brief touch-down over on Nobottom Road. That is two streets and a small river over from me(less than a tenth mile). Scamp and his momma live over there, might swing by and check on them. The weatherman last night said the funnel 'glided' by the doppler tower at Cleve. Hopkins airport.
Well if the reports hold true, this is the third tornado I've been through in my lifetime.
From North Royalton, just about the time the weatherguy on the 6 o'clock news realized the fast moving storm had the hook echo. I wish I could have had the video of that broadcast from last night as there were no tornado warnings as yet, but he started immediately telling people in its path to take shelter in basements immediately. Seconds later the sirens went off, but the wind, rain, and hail made them just a faint muffled sound. Well ...this ain't getten my work done today.
Pray for Joplin today.
