5/5 Champ AMPS 330, +6 167, PMPS 450, +2 346, +4 295

Yesterday

You would never know by looking at Champ's AMPS that he swam in the blue waters for quite some time last night, posting his lowest number yet of 114!!! Of course, I was like "oh crap, who's up to help if this goes lower." Marjorie to the rescue!!! And she notices something that, in my "oh my gosh oh my gosh" frame of mind didn't realize...the 114 was at +6, beyond his usual nadir, and, therefore, there was really no risk of him decreasing much further. I checked again at +7 and, sure enough, he had already risen to 162. Oh well, it was really nice while it lasted

I only got about 3-4 hours of sleep last night so I'm going to be dragging a$$ again today. The weekend is almost here, though, so I will slough on! :lol:

Tomorrow is the visit with the new vet so I'm going to try to do a curve today so I have something to show him. I hope Champ doesn't decide to bounce hard after those lower than normal numbers last night, paws crossed!!

Happy anniversary to Marjorie and her husband who have 27 years under their belt of wedded bliss!! And still crazy about each other it seems!! :shock: :lol:

Great number last night, Champ! Now that he's had a nice tase of the blue waters, he should be visiting again soon. I'm sure this morning is just a bit of a bounce off those blues...hopefully he'll clear it quickly.

What a nice run of blue last night! Scary when it first happens, but you'll get greedy for it soon enough. :lol:

How's the diet going? That's something to talk to the new vet about too.

hahahaha on the skeletal kitty! poor champ, on a diet and everyone will be able to see his progress!

it is scary when you first hit down into lower numbers, isn't it. i'm ok about it now but nearly passed out from the stress the first time. marjorie helped me on that one too. now i'm fine if punkin gets into 50's, i just keep rechecking him and don't do a thing til it gets below 50.

Ann, GREAT picture. I know Champ would love to have that costume so he could wear it and try to trick me into thinking he didn't need to lose any weight :lol: :lol:

Well, Champ didn't stay on the third floor very long. Let's see how this progresses over the day....

Only a little further to reach the blue floor!!! And he's only at +4 so we still have a little bit of time to get there!!

I just couldn't help myself. I know it wasn't the least bit funny last night when it happened, but i can feel exactly what you were going through.
I had that exact same feeling the first time that happened to Tommy, I was like Please, Please somebody be around to give me the answer i need, I don't want to mess this up and at the same time going WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Tommy made it to blue (more, more, more)..
I'm so glad Marjorie was there for you.
It takes a little time, but you're learning Champs SS pretty well. I think you did just fine last night. Congrats on reaching a new low
You are going to crave that more and more but remember to be patient.

Linda, I have been feeding Champ WAAAAYY too much parboiled chicken :lol: :lol: :lol: He doesn't stand a chance of losing weight with me as his bean!! :roll: I'm doing better today, though, since I have fresh resolve.

Squirrel, it IS funny. Especially since wonderful Marje stayed up til midnight so I could check Champ's BG again and it went all the way up to 162. :lol: :lol: I was sitting there, saying out loud, "How embarrassing. Yeah, that was sooo scary." Champ just wanted to get one over on me I think. :lol:

Our boys have been doing a duet since yesterday. I agree with you, I dislike bad behavior! :lol: Maybe if one goes down, the other will be pressured into doing the same . Here's hoping.
