Yesterday
Happy Monday and Happy full Moon! Shadow threw up last night about an hour after dinner but then ate okay for the next two snacks. Yet this morning, he is not really interesting in his food. I served one flavor and he walked away as Raja was chowing down on hers. I opened a different flavor and he had some of it but not a whole lot. He did lick up all the Omega 3 oil I put down for him.
He is sitting by the screen door, listening to the noises outside and enjoying the fresh air. I am watching as he cleans various parts of his body....that is a good sign I guess. After posting, I will go and see what I can offer that will tempt him. Maybe some Fortiflora sprinkled on top of the FD chicken? I hope this is just a passing thing. Guess I might try the Pepcid too. He is not really eating as much as he used to so I have to watch him now....

What lovely numbers compared to just last week. Amazing actually!
If this keeps up; he will be a poster boy for "Better numbers through Teeth Cleaning."

I hope his appetite picks up. Maybe he's just not as hungry and it isn't a tummy ache. (paws crossed...)
In spring I've noticed that my kitties aren't quite as hungry as they were in colder weather. Even the outside feral kitties will leave food in their bowl, and that almost never happens. I swear during cold weather, they would eat until they exploded if I let them.

Hi guys ... yes, I agree much better numbers this week then last week! And I've also noticed in the spring our kitties don't eat as much as they do come winter .. I'm sure shadow is fine and will let you know when he is hungry Have a great day guys!

Sometimes lower numbers means a return to normal appetite too. I notice that sometimes if we're below 150 or so Attie isn't as hungry.

Those are nice numbers though and I hope it isn't anything serious.

Hi Pat,
Maybe Shadow's gums are still a bit sore from the dental. Anyway, his AMPS is really nice!!

Now, if you hurry up here you'll get to see snow on the ground!!!

Thanks guys....but he wasn't eating at all. He ate a little and then vomited all over the rug. I just threw out bowls and bowls of different flavors....I was getting a bit nervous. Offered many different types to him but he refused each one. I had given him Pepcid in the morning and hoped that would do the trick. by the time +5 rolled around I gave him HC gravy...syringed. Then, that stayed down so I gave him more HC syringed gravy at +7 and then I left some LC with Temptations there. He did munch on that.
Wow. I was sooo happy to see him eating!
That stayed down too and by dinner time, he ate pretty well. 10 Temptations added due to his low Preshot.
I think that Ella had the right idea about his mouth being sore....I believe that there was something going on with him.

It was amusing though because do you know what I did to occupy myself during Dental Day? I vacuumed the rugs and shampooed them too! I figured that they needed it....AND my two HATE the vacuum and the rug shampooer....SO, it was a perfect thing to keep my mind and body busy that day. They did have to hear the nose, my rugs looked brand new and before ya know it, it was time to pick them up.
So, Shadow chose the middle of the living room rug to demonstrate partial projectile vomiting for the folks at home.
He also vomited last night all over my bedspread.....well, it was mostly on DH's side.... :roll:

Boy, are we ever busy, eh?
I just pray that he will be okay now....
