WCR: Don't know. He purrs, eats, and moves around, but he's hiding a lot and is starting to seem off again. He seems to do fine when he's on the cerenia and pain meds, but as soon as the cerenia stops, he kind of starts acting strange again. I'm going to try pepcid and see if that helps. Also need to give squids tonight. I didn't get much in him Monday night because he was so tense and guarded, and it was making it hard to keep him and the needle in a good position

ETA: correct date, because I'm a dweeb

Re: 3/8 Willow PMPS~494

I hope Willow is starting to feel better, already. :YMHUG:
Your ss is not updated. How have his numbers been?

Re: 3/8 Willow PMPS~494

I've been sick and not on the computer much, so haven't gotten around to updating the SS but I'm doing it right now. His numbers have been high. I'd love to bump him up to the dose we were at pre-hypo, but I know slow is the way to go with dosecreases, especially since I haven't been able to get many mid-cycle tests due to falling asleep so early the last few nights.

Jordan
I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well, and that Willow seems off to you.
I hope you boths start feeling better soon.

I am not loving those high numbers, as I ams ure you are not either.
Please make sure you are checking for ketones, okay?

Re: 3/9 Willow PMPS~494

Ketones were negative two days ago. Have not been able to get him to cooperate since.

Does anyone know if it's okay to crush the pepcid and mix with a little water to syringe it to Willow instead of trying to pill him? He's not handling pilling very well at the moment.

I"m thinking it is, but have you tried hiding it in a pill pocket? you can also ask your vet for injectable form. I used to have a vial and it's 0.25ml. Easy for us experts at shooting.

I also think it's less stressful for our kitties.

hope you both feel better soon.
