I am officially a fan of the rescue remedy. We've used it our past two vet visits, and I think it has made a real difference in warding off sugar dumps!!
Willie continues to do great. Lots of btb snuggles this morning, and he's currently parked with his fish directly in front of the heat dish, basking in the orange glow.
Two other tidbits from the vet yesterday that I forgot to share, but were good/fun...
First, I handed the cardio vet the update of our spreadsheet that included the numbers since our last visit to the clinic. He was impressed I had brought a copy, and then he looked at it. and actually READ it... comments and all!! AND? I got a "wow, you are doing a terrific job of keeping him regulated!"
!!!!!!!!!
When we turned to the issue of needing a regular vet, I explained that the former vet didn't approve of my methods of keeping Willie regulated, to which he responded, "Well, i'm no diabetes specialist, but if what you're doing is working this well??? KEEP DOING IT!!"
!!!!!!!!!
Finally. A little validation.
Then, when it was time for Willie to go back for his echo, the vet said that if it would make Willie more comfortable, he'd take him back in the carrier. As I busted out laughing, he opened the door.... and Willie just walked right into it, turned around, laid down, and was quiet as can be.  I don't know what kind of cat whisperer voodoo magic the cardiologist had going on, I just know that I want it!!!
Today is tennis and maybe a bit of grocery shopping. Willie was mumbling something about sleds??
Hope everyone has a great day in store... We hope all our friends in snowy places are careful out on the roads today!!
