Happy Birthday Captain Donovan!

In our thoughts this morning: Tori, who is very sick. We sending healing vines to her, as well as Rocket, Whiskers, and any other sick who is not feeling well.

Yesterday was like a pink and yellow swirl stick - Mannie just couldn't decide what color he wanted to be. Back and forth between the two. He finally did make blue at +6 last night, ending up with e 117 amps this morning. :-D :cool: NICE! I would like to think that he surfed the blues last night. We have one furry purry kitty this morning. I was once again awaken with soft whiskers in my face, a touch of the paw. He came to get me, as this bean was oversleeping. oh the horrors! :shock: :shock: 15 minutes late! He patiently waited while one blurry eyed bean fumbled through this and that, got the test in, the fuds dished out, shot given. :lol: :lol: I had to double check to make sure I had fed the right stuff to the right kitty, though I am sure Mannie would have loved the 15% carb stuff the civvie got. :? He's content this AM - great BG, lots of let me stay with you time from the boy, and now the nanners. They have been rearranged - we are back to the circle - always the perfect fit with him in the middle. :cool: How does he know.... and of course they all been treated: slobbered on, chewed on, rubbed, cuddled.

Hey kitties!!! Today is Donovan's birthday! I would like to make him our world famous cinnamon cake, and maybe have a mini party with cake and fuds and niptinis - you guys in? I heard this morning too that Tori is very sick and in the kitty hospital. Maybe the KTSS can go and visit her, help her feel better. See you guys soon? ~~ Mannie

Nice blue AMPS for Mannie. I know it's a awful feeling to sleep in and worry about all we need to do taking care of them. I sometimes forget at the PM cycle if I don't set an alarm reminding me. Have a nice day and hope Mannie surfs nice today.

Maggie says she is in for the birthday party for Donovan, and she would love to visit Tori in the hospital.

Morning Ann - I know! The AM one is the hardest for me - the timing of that is a little tight, as it is the first thing I do after the AM alarm - cringe when I miss the timing... oh well, we always recover. :-D

Maggie - that is so cool! I am glad you can come. It will be fun to celebrate Donovan's birthday. And I feel so sad for Tori. We needs to help her. See you soon! I will pick you up. ~~ Mannie

Hi Michelle, I'll be interested to see how Mannie does on Cowboy Cookout with his bg's. I'm doing some experimenting with Maggie's food and her bg, and today is Chopped Grill by FF.

Hi Ann. Overall I think that the Cowboy Cookout does bump him up a little. I usually don't feed him this one unless I am starting out with a low blue, like today. I know I will get a food spike with it, not always sure though on how much of a spike it will be. I like it for days like today since for Mannie I think it gives him a little cushion, lets him come down to lower numbers gradually. or so it seems - he could prove me totally wrong! :lol: Mannie really does love this one.

Hi Ella - I think he is listening, slowly making his way back down....

Hi Marjorie - me too, and paws crossed! So far - looking good, and we hope for greens later on. :-D

Morning! Mannie did have a nice AMPS...wonder what he's up to today? Aside from rearranging the nanners, that is.

It's interesting that you feed the civvie different food. I've just been feeding both of mine the same thing. If I am not vigilant, Chaos will eat civvie's food.


Hey Mannie! I am into helping with the cinnamon cake for Donovan's birthday for sure. After all the fuss everyone made about my birthday, I want to do all I can to give another kitty a great birthday too!

Captain Donovan wants to have his little b-day party here. Hope you all don't mind. He's up for whatever needs to be done today, particularly KTSS for the kitties who need it.

Can't believe he's 15 now. I took a few photos of him this morning and brought the camera with me to work, but of course forgot the cord I need to download them :-| so I'll post them later. Donovan even gave me an early present last night -- PMBG = 76 :mrgreen: (have been getting nervous with rising blues lately, and his [antijinx]one year anniversary[/antijinx] is coming up in a few weeks...

Mannie, you rock.

And thank you to everyone who has offered emotional support for Butthead. His CT scan is on Friday, so hopefully I will have some answers soon. The lump is most definitely growing though :sad:

KITTIES!! Birthday Party @ Donovan's! We need fuds. I was thinkin'.... BBQ! We haven't done that in soooooooooooooooo long. Captain? You like BBQ? We gots rosemary chicken kabobs, grilled turkey burgers, BBQ'd chicken sausages, Pulled beef brisket, Beef Ribs.... YUM! and maybe some catmint infused oatmeal niptinis.... and well dessert has to be our cinnamon cake, but I think I'll make it with an oatmeal base since you are an oatmeal fan. so kitchen krew!! MJ - Wow - almost an year for Donovan? I kinda of remember his OTJ party - we were pretty new to the board then. Hi Violet - looks like he has decided to pay a visit to the yellow floor. hmmmmmm..... Mannie? and yeah on the food. The one is a bit underweight, allergy issues, so I tend to fed her higher carb/calorie/etc stuff. Definitely not what Mannie should be eating. :lol: :lol: He'd ove it - but I have to watch. She never finishes (she's more of a grazer), and well, Mr. Hoover would no doubt make sure the bowl was empty.

Nice blue day for the trio today!!! And Mannie and Gracie both had low 200s PMPS. That's a bit of a food spike, tho!!

Mannie...the burgers are great and Donovan looks so handsome! 15!! He looks so young!!! Isn't this fun? I hope Tori will get better with the KTSS...it was a really good batch!

well, the photos I quickly took this morning reminded me [1] flash creates a glare on Donovan's black fur, and [2] he can hear cat food being served from a mile away. So here's the birthday boy, a blurry glare of eyes and whiskers :roll::
