Jill- yes eh free feeds. I've tried setting up the timer for him and most days, the food is still there in the morning when we get up. I have started splitting the meal into two half in am half at 4-5 hours later and that has seemed to help. I've been wondering if the higher am numbers might be due to Azrael. Sleep time is the only time that he and Azy are in the same room (with Azrael's food picked up), but if its stress due to jealousy, and over Azrael being sick.

gosh, anything is possible.
you mentioned food being there in the morning when using a timed feeder. are you still using the feeder at night or is food at pmps his last meal?
the good thing is it's obvious he's coming down 3 - 4 hours after his morning meal. :-D

hey, just had an idea... don't stay home to do this, but when you are home and notice him eating... record the +hour on his ss.
maybe that'll give us some clues...

Jill- I put out fresh food around pmbg +4 or +5, before I go to bed. I haven't seen him chow down on it, just Jasmine :roll: but there is usually some of that meal left on the plate in the morning

will do on recording the eating, for when I am home

Day 9 and counting. Looking good. Hope Jasper hits a nice green for you around +3 or +4.

I've had to resort to feeding Max in our bedroom with the door shut so that the rest of the clan doesn't eat his food. Unfortunately, this requires many up and downs out of bed during the night to round him up and get him into the bedroom for a snackus. I notice a change is his numbers in the morning if I have slept through the entire night and haven't given him a snackus.

Good Luck Jasper....(I noticed if I fed Raja and then tested 4 hours later, her numbers were down....
it's hard when you are free feeding though....) If you can grab the time and numbers as Jill said...that
will show what is going on....

happy furry purry tonight. He brought himself down from the 140's to the low 100's. While still not green, its better than this morning and a 40 pt drop!

I put out a snack at +9 and he didn't touch it (Jasmin did)

I have to free feed with him because timed meals don't work with him. He doesn't eat when food is offered (unless its FF) I've seen him have days where he didn't touch whats put out at amps until around +3 when he was dropping into the 30's :roll:

Well... I think that PMPS is a very dark green number :mrgreen:
Per.. let's see some nice greens.. just for us Old timers! Plus.. Pepper has already picked out his bow tie for the party of all parties..

Nice to hear that Azy has been soo snuggly.. and do understand that it can cause a little jealousy in the household.. (ahemmm Jasper!)

was reading the above exchange about feeding, what if you chicken dust his fuds? i can get the free feeders here (which is all my cats) to all eat some when i want if i want for some reason by dusting fuds. (or by making DBF a tuna sandwich and squeezing the tuna water out over their big plate o' raw...but i think eric would get suspicious if you packed him a tuna sandwich for work EVERYDAY?)

Sadly, there is no chicken dust to be found in Germany :o back in the states everyone went crazy for it. I tried the cheese pills Monique mentioned a while ago, and they made Per puke, and parma backs him up :roll: and Eric and I can only handle so much tuna (plus its 'spensive here!) so we're stuck with him eating when he's hungry
