Whiskers did not want to finish her raw food last night. The IM vet has had us discontinue the potassium chloride because her bloodwork showed her potassium is now on the high end of normal, but her sodium and chloride are still low. So starting Friday night we have been adding 1/8 tsp of sodium chloride (table salt). I think that is a lot as far as taste wise and she has hypertension...anyway she ate it Friday night and Saturday morning, but only ate about 1/2 of it last night, so we gave her an amount equal to 1/2 of a canned wellness (grain free) and she ate all of that up. This morning I gave about 1/16 tsp of sodium chloride and she ate it all. I'll try to go back up to 1/8 tsp tonight and see how it goes. I'll talk to the IM vet about it on Monday and have them check her blood pressure.

Feeling anxiety today.

Good morning, Cheryl! I hope you are hanging in there okay. It looks like you are making good adjustments to Whiskers' diet, which is all you can do. Willie and I are sending you lots of healing vines! You guys are in my thoughts and prayers.

We are returning to the U of M on Monday February 7th at 8:00am. Testing the levels of cortisone output, in hopes of medicating to lower cortisone levels. Also a chest x-ray. And I would like them to check her Blood Pressure as well. :YMSIGH: .

Whiskers has +10 388. Our highest BG number in a week. Pink. We had mostley yellow's and a few blues. :YMSIGH: .

My husband is going to feed everyone tonight and give meds in about 45 minutes, so I can try to go to bed as Whiskers and I have to be up at 7:00am to be at the U by 8:00. I hope we don't get anymore bad news.
