Rainbow kitty decided he wanted to make himself known yesterday. I think Mannie hit every color yesterday. We started red, hit low low greens last night.... amazing. It's almost as if once he made it known that he has a UTI (the reds and the blacks were screaming), he decided to get back to business, and return to the land of the greens. Who knows... We started Clavamox with the PM cycle last night, and so far he is tolerating it well: no nausea, no vomiting, no diarrhea. YAY! I had to laugh - after giving it to him last night he washed the drops off of his chin, gave me a head rub, a purr: "see mom? all clean!". cat_pet_icon

It always makes me laugh when we have one of these poke-fests and at some point towards the end of the poking Mannie is MIA. I always find him in the same place: on my bed, on my pillow, with that look: "bed - we are done now, and no more pokes!" funny thing is is that he is usually right - it's always the poke when it is apparent that he is starting to head up, and sleepus can commence. He slept in bed at my feet last night: NICE! Breffis this morning was greeted with his happy dance, eating was filled with happy sounds: nom nom nom purrrrrr nom nom.... clavamox was given without too much fuss. I gave him a little treat for taking his meds like a trooper. Of course he ignored the auto feeder again, was overjoyed when I escorted him to it. :roll: He is now on patrol, having arranged, chewed on, slobbered on the nanners. :lol: :lol: They were all piled on top of one another this morning.

What a night!!! I remember Mike coming in some time after I had gone to bed and saying "Mannie is still in the 40s!". I'm so very glad to see him back in Mannie numbers. You may have a little food spike this morning but that's a nice AMPS after that night and I am predicting a great day! So funny about the clavamox drops and sleeping on your pillow when he's DONE !:lol: :lol:

Mannie...is your drink pink??? Can you and Rusty come get me....I wanna go out in the Roadster today!

Hi Ann ( and Maggie) - I am so glad that he is tolerating the AB's. It really doesn't seem to bother him at all. Phew!!

Hi Ann (and Tess) - thanks for checking on us. I hope all is well with your family, and all that you are juggling right now. I so hope you are right. the past month has been just unreal, unsettling not really knowing what was happening with him. I hope this is the beginning of "back to Mannie".

Hi Ella - I hope so on the bounce. it was nice to see the mid-yellow this AM. I suspect the +2 is food related, as I did feed him a 5% LC this AM. so.... we shall see what his +4 is. paws crossed!

Hi Barb - i know.... :lol: :lol: :lol: it kinda does smell like banana... :shock: :? :roll: and so i told him: just as good as your nanners. i don't think he is buying it. funny though isn't it how our mood is affected by what our kitties are up too.

Hi Marjorie - so true!! Even with karo he did not want to leave the 40's... unreal. i finally doubled the amt of the karo - that worked, and we hit 70. wow - it was like he got his message cross about the UTI, and now back to business. weird, and we shall see.

Tess, and Gracie, and Rusty, and Maggie, and everybody!: ROAD TRIP!!! Let's go! I gots the roadster all polished up, and restocked with all kinds of fuds, and of course some niptinis... see you guys soon. I will picks you up, and we can just go everywhere... I am SO STOKED! It is so good to feel normal again... ~~ Mannie ~~ pssssttttttt - not too sure on this medicine stuff... it kinda smells like nanners, my bean says so... but i think she says that just so I'll like it.... i detect a trick....

Wow, that Clavimox worked fast! Just to let you know, Kibby can take Clavimox for about 4 days before he starts throwing up, so keep an eye on him. The last time he took it was a disaster. I quit it for a day and started back up, like they say to do, and he still threw up when I started it back up. So it never cleared his UTI and he had to go a second round on something else to get rid of it. (I think it was zeniquin, which he tolerated quite well, and he's doing great so far with the Orbax) Hopefully Mannie continues to tolerate it. I just LUBS that boy!

I'm so happy to see that Mannie is back! Go, Mannie! Way to take your meds. That is funny, how once a kitty has gotten his message across, he seems to go back to business as usual. Mine have done that sort of thing, too. Mannie tolerates AB's better than I do lol! I hope he finishes the full course without incident. He's a tough boy, he can do it!


Hey Mannie, glad to see you feeling better! I'm comin on the road trip too, I'll see you there. I got my catnip and am ready to hang with all my buddies!

p.s. last time my bean tried to feed me "medicine", she nearly lost her thumb nail. I was bad, but I've learned a lot since then. It's not a trick, just roll with it and it'll be over soon. Nice job cleanin dat stuff off your face!

Good afternoon, guys! Looks like you had a busy night last night!

It is amazing how fast the Clav goes to work... within 36 hours of restarting it, Willie had a green surf! Hoping we get back there soon... still cruizin' the pinks!

Love that the meds smell like banana! Hope Mannie clears his bounce soon, and is back to surfin greens and blues in no time!!

:lol: :lol: round three of the clavamox administered - shesshhhh.... tonight he meat-hooked me with a few free flying claws. OW! we had hugs and are now friends again. "My mouth is off limits" says the cat. :lol: , and I guess so.

Hi Christie - that it was, but I will not complain. it was so nice to see such a green run. A little low, but green. I expected the bounce, just wished it hadn't been so dramatic. :roll:

Hi Georgia - me too - it does look like I will get the night off, or at least not as involved as last night was. :-D Busy! And yes so far he's tolerating the clavamox well. yay on that one!

Hi Jan - it was cute - on the bed, definitely done. I needed to do one more to make sure he had stayed up, and when I picked him up he let out the longest and loudest sigh. too fun. and yes on the normalcy!

Moonie! I will gets you! It's scary -- The snow is higher than you are! But no worries!! I've raised the suspension on the roadster, and got these really cool tires - I can now go anywhere! On my way! ~~ Mannie

Just checking up on Mannie and his first full day on the clavamox. I hope he clears the bounce. You mentioned Mannie also eats the Surf n' Turf Merrick food. It sounds like a California food! I just tried Grammy's Pot Pie on Maggie as she's being picky. The jury is still out on that one. Have a good night and hope you can catch some sleep tonight! Sleep, what is that, huh?

Hi Christie - it seems that Mannie chose the dive option to clear his bounce - aiyee! never a dull moment.

Hi Ann - yep, I feed alot of the Merrick line - Mannie really likes then all. I've fed the surf n Turf, cowboy cookout, grammie's pot pie, and thanksgiving day dinner. The grammie and the Thanksgiving ones are higher carbs, like 8%, and 12% so he doesn't get them very often. The california roll sounded good too, but I think that one is 16% carb, so not likely to see his plate unless he needs numbers to come up. and so true on the sleep. I hear it is overrated...

I swear that NOBODY goes from red to almost green...and assuredly will be green...like Mannie!! :lol: :lol: What a day! I'm glad he's doing much better and hope you've had some de-stress time although you are always so upbeat and calm as can be!!

Mannie's a regular little jumping bean tonight. Making the big bean nervous.

There's another video in the Funny Cats series but I couldn't find it on YouTube. I'll try to upload it from my hard drive in the next few nights, next time we need some comic relief.
 
80 @ 5.5. SWEET! the diving champion found the green lagoon! I fed this, with some 10% as this bean needs some sleep. I will try and get a +7/8. paws crossed....

Hi Lacie - thanks - that would be cool. I love those videos. They are fun, kinda of remind us why we do what we do - for all the furbabies out there. fun stuff.

and the rainbow kitty showed up here again....
