Morning LL!!
(white mocha - yum!), and Happy HUMP DAY!
I would like to thank everyone that visited Mannie yesterday, offered support, help, guidance. I am so grateful for this board and how we are all there for those that need the support. I am sorry that I just didn't have time to visit you all - but do know I thought of you all. Many thanks from Mannie and his bean.

and what a day yesterday.... Mannie has a UTI, and will be put on Clavamox as soon as I can pick that up today. For the past three weeks I have been concerned about him - uncharacteristically high numbers, erratic numbers. I knew I needed to get Mannie in for a redo on a urinalysis. After the pukus episode yesterday morning (euwwww: it was everywhere), and a rising BG up to 476, I took him to the vet, had the urinalysis done. My vet (well, the new one there - I like her - very attuned to FD and what other factors, such as UTI's, can affect our kitties) called - we have a UTI. He will be put on Clavamox until we have the results back from the C&S to know for sure the bacteria we are dealing with. The interesting thing is that Mannie has no symptoms, short of high BG's: no excessive trips to the LB, no straining, no apparent pain, no nothing... he acts just fine.... so bottom line: he is now on a fast track for frequent urinalysis, because I honestly would not have know he had one.
Despite all that Mannie is one happy furball.
He put me to bed last night, woke me up this morning, ready to get his day rolling. You could see it on his face: "move faster woman, let's go, and where is my breffis!" He has spent the remainder of the time guarding the nanners - no one has been allowed near the stash. Well, with on exception. Elsa, his civvie sister, came up to them last night, cautiously approached, with the "may I?" look on her face. what a guy - he gave her 5 minutes. One elated civvie!
Have a great day everyone! I hope all our ailing kitties feel better today. Mannie and I hold you close to our hearts.
