1/19 Willie PMPS 218, +3~272

Yesterday's Condo.

Keeping Willie at a skinny 1.5 and it appears we are clearing last night's bounce okay. This bean is home sick today with some bug... hoping it doesn't last long.

Was able to get Willie started on our his new custom diet last night, which he likes alot! paws crossed for continued improvement with his skin issues.

That's a nice drop to blue for Willie and not too fast either. :thumbup Good luck w/ the new diet. Did you do a consult w/ Dr. Lisa or are you using the recipe from her website?

You mentioned using Rescue Remedy for Willie's vet visit. How are you giving it? There isn't much info in the package.

Thanks, everyone. Just took a long nap... contemplating venturing out in the snow as I left my phone at work last night. I don't have a home phone, so it is so weird to have none.Willie is still chilling in his donut, taking his bath. I got him this compressed catnip ball, which has been amusement for the bean, if nothing else. If it is on the floor, he will lick it, it will roll 3 inches or so, he'll stop, look at it, move forward, lick it again... wash, rinse repeat. LOL Now, he has it in the donut with him, using it like a cow uses a salt lick. *sigh* this boy of mine....

@Ann-- We did do a consult with Dr. Lisa and this is a custom diet she made to address his issues. Because our former vet suspected food allergies as the culprit of Willie's skin issues, she wanted me to do a poultry free elimination diet. Too hard to try to do it on my own, too many issues with feeding fish-based canned food every day, and the only canned foods with venison or rabbit only would have too many carbs (see Natural Balance) or ingredients I didn't like (Royal Canin... which has pork).

As for the bach flower remedy, I put a few drops on a small amount of food. Willie is around 12 lbs. and I gave him 4 drops, which seemed a bit too much... he was pretty out of it. I will probably go with 2-3 next time. Good luck!

Christie - Willie is looking good I'm sorry you got a bug. Being sick (for real) is no fun at all. Hope you are feeling a bit better and recover soon.

Willie sounds hilarious with his catnip ball lol. Lick, Lick, Lick. Must be the mellow out catnip, not the potent stuff.

Thanks for visiting our condo today. I did go to Walgreens as you suggested, and we scored got both contour kits with 50 strips for $20. Yeeeaahhh!!

It is great that you got a custom raw diet from Dr. Lisa, and I'm so glad Willie likes it :mrgreen: . One of our cats would get eye boogers and they are almost completely gone on the raw diet. I think it really helps with so many conditions :mrgreen: :mrgreen: .

The rescue remedy is really getting around. We like it too cat_pet_icon .

Hi Christie, I hope you're feeling better this evening. EVO makes a 95% venison that is 4% carbs. Don't know if you have tried this one or not.
So great that Willie brought venison to the Full Wolf Moon Party. I hear that it is in the big cast-iron kettle already and that the venison stew smells wonderful. All the kitties are having a great time howling at the Wolf Moon (which, however, is behind the clouds and it is snowing). Don't expect Willie home early!

Thanks for the EVO tip, Ella! Will be good to have around for emergencies... power outage, freezer dies, etc.

Simiilar PM setup to yesterday... starting a little higher, but bouncing a little less high as of +3 (though within the margin of error). Hopeful this is a good sign!
