I will put my money on Binks any day.
I will also bet that Binks will get poked by not only one meter 54 times today but on 2 different meters. :-D

How are you Celi....should we be placing any bets on you for anything? How about you just keep that bubble wrap around you and stay put!

I think all the sparring w/ the adoptocats is paying off. Go get 'em, Binks!

That is a great way to look at the differences in meters, Celi! Every time I see a high number w/ the new meter I regret the switch, but you are right. New reduction numbers will really be earned now. Maybe that was the problem, what we thought were reduction numbers before weren't really low enough.

that's what i'm beginning to suspect, ann...and since i'm laid up and can watch him like a hawk (well...a one-lopsided hawk, anyway)...i'm thinking that the strip issue may turn out to be a benefit for the boy!

and, there's only one relion strip left...so..GO, NOVA MAX!! (actually...it's a really nifty meter)

SSSHHH...don't tell Binks i said this...but you would not BELIEVE how cute & charming i find little Annie Fannie.
I'm sure it is due in part to her unassuming shyness...but wow...she is a doll! working hard on getting her to trust in safety & security.

Hey, my bet is on Mr. Binks Manx. Interesting with the comparison in the two meters. My Alpha Trak reads quite a bit higher than the Relion (which is my back-up). Maggie pie's numbers would mostly be in the green if I used the Relion, so I'm a bit out of sync with everyone. So your Walmart still doesn't have the strips?

this was going to be a totally random remark...but ann saved me from that by mentioning the meters...
The big advertising hook with the Nova Max Plus is that it uses real gold in the test strips...
(mayhap to make us feel better about the cost) :lol:

I was a "Rely On Relion" diehard until now...and cost may have me back there when the strips arrive (Walmart mgr has no ETA yet)...but the last 2 days have sold me on this meter...
It's really KEWEL!

eta: the ketone strips are horrendously expensive tho...they test blood...and from what i can tell...run about $4.00 per strip.
2 were included with the meter...but were immediately transferred to a safe deposit box...

Maverick is soooo there! Kitty play date! I hope Binks shares his toys. He looks like a spoiled only child.

i havent transferred my pic files to this laptop yet...got a great one of him in a casserole dish, though... and one of him inside a Doritos bag...i'll have to get them where i can post them...

easy mistake to make, karrie...he and Baby look a lot alike..he thinks she's gorgeous :lol:

i think Binks is gorgeous too. His kitty pictures the other day made my day!!! Wish everyone had a full cat shot in their profiles. I love seeing them.
