All is well here in snow lake effect land. Not as much overnight in my location as I expected. Whew...I won't have to shovel the driveway to get out this morning. Everybody been feds, watered and looks like snuggies time this morning.

Attie was up on my pillow the minute I rolled over this morning. Big purrbox going, headbutts, and love nips. All only about 10 minutes before the alarm clock.

In the feline romance department:
MudCat is sitting on the end table, awaiting the arrival of her dark prince, through the back gate.

Love pillow cats I so agree and Do Lou has his timed feeder but half the time or maybe more then half he wants you to escort him to it he is spoiled that is a for sure :mrgreen: What a super amps for Atlas today dancing_cat

Nice AMPS for Blue sweetie pie kitty! Maggie isn't a pillow kitty; instead she cries and cries from the living room until I get up! Have a wonderful day and hope the weather gives you guys a break soon.

Whew...ok...now that I've put on clean underwear....

I just turned down a client this morning. :o Great Dane Bulldog mix with serious aggression problems. Not fear aggression...but real aggression problems.

It was obvious the dog was "trained." The dog more or less listened to the owner, but he didn't hold the commands of the owner. I was told to wait outside while she 'settled the dog.' Then she told me to come in. She didn't open the door for me...she was guarding her dog!!!

Once in I get my boots removed to come fully into the house. The Great Dane Bulldog mix runs up to me. I froze, looked down and away, yawned...all I got was sniffed. So, I hold position and let him investigate me. He starts growling as the owner attempts to speak with me. Mind you the dog is still nose deep in my coat getting my scent!

The owner intervenes to pull her dog off. She again attempts to "settle" him. He initially obeys, but then breaks command and circles around her growling and staring at me. I again look down and away and lip smack. He closes the circle...ah...heck!

The owner at this point becomes distressed. Again she orders him to stand down and settle.

She then asks me if I am scared! Well...ok...maybe I'm not as experienced with dogs of this size and nature...but YEAH!

holy carp on the dog - think i would have turned that one down too. sheshhhh - trained? in what? martial arts? wow .....

Nice that the weather hasn't worsened too much for you - I can fathom so much snow. I suppose that you get used to it - but amazing. And YAY - no shoveling today!

Thanks too for all the visits yesterday - very much appreciated. It kept me sane. :-D

Yeah...the dog visit was up there on my fear scale! Owner kept saying she would never let something happen...blah, blah, blah... It is a Great Dane BullDog mix!!! If he wanted to based on shear size take her and me out in less than 5 minutes.

There are several type of aggression in dogs. Some can be trained out...some can't be. The fact that the dog started circling, staring, and growling is an attack display. She may be working with a trainer, but she is in over her head with this dog. The fact the behavior is getting worse... Very rarely would one here me ever say this, but this dog needs to be PTS before he hurts someone.

She can't have visitors to the house, friends over and summer is coming...she has to have him on leash even in their own backyard?

I can't even fathom what a great dane bull dog mix would look like! @-)
I would keep a dog with aggression issues muzzled 100% of the time and even in the house. Its not worth it to put others in danger. Its too easy for a door to be left open or for them to slip out. Glad you turned it down.

Let's just say he would be one of the biggest dogs you'd ever normally see.

Great Danes are commonly known as gentle giants. This guy had bulldog markings in his coat and his head was more flatish like the American Bulldog. Handsome, handsome dog. Too bad about the aggression. :sad:

Not so funny on that dog. wow. It does sound like that lady is in over her head.

There is cooing and chorteling and a few prrrrrttttts coming from the family. MudCat's dark prince, Gary must be here.

My, my what should I do? Last spring he started to get friendly and then disappeared for the summer....first snow he returned this fall. And as aloof as ever.

Attie is just sitting here and seems uninterested in the antics of the MudCat's fling! Course Binks is ready to defend Attie's honor... :lol:
