Yesterday's Condo

It looks like Gabby surfed green all night. She's currently curled up on a bag in my closet. She has removed all of the soft fuzzy articles that were in the bag and has made a bit of a nest for herself. She seems to find new "favorite" spots every so often. This is the spot du jour.

Great Greens Gabby! Isn't it curious how they change their favorite spots every once in awhile....so funny these kitties.!!

Wow, is this the Gabby we all know and love? What a great day for her. Maybe the nesting helped. Aren't they funny?

Awesome day for Gabby :mrgreen: I love her name.

I also love hearing the neat things the kitties are doing in their condo's. Wish Maverick did neat stuff like that - he'd keep me really entertained.

You've had a couple really great cycles for Gabby!! Awesome for her!!!

Did I read in your condo the other day that you don't use HC foods to steer her but that you just give her her regular food and karo to steer her? Do you give her karo if she's in, say the 50s?

Take a look at our SS. You'll see that I would asterisk when I was using Karo. I'm beginning to think that Gabby's tummy is bothered by the gluten in gravy. I've started using Karo vs. gravy. She's had two, thankfully short-lived, episodes of diarrhea that seemed to respond quickly with FortiFlora. These have been after using a fair amount of gravy. Using syrup instead of HC/gravy is a strategy that is encouraged with cats with allergies or IBD.

Sienne....she's really looking great lately on that 1.25u. Very nice. What HC are you using and is that just the food and not the gravy? Just curious. I'm assuming you are using it when you think she's going to start dropping alot?

I've been using FF Gravy Lovers (it's either chicken or turkey -- the kitties only get poultry). Obviously, I use HC to bring up Gabby's plummets. If you recall, I use food to keep Gabby from earning dose reductions because she's bouncy and because she hasn't held reductions particularly well. If I see a drops early in the cycle and especially if those drops have a good deal of momentum behind them, I feed some HC. I'm working at keeping Gabby in blues and greens for as long as possible without earning a decrease.
