Yesterday's Condo

Morning -- Lanky is doing well after his big day at the vet yesterday. He had his dental with 2 teeth needing to be extracted. They said he had state 2-3 periodontal disease with some missing teeth. The bad teeth had "feline odontoclastic resorption lesions (FORL's)" and are known to be very painful. He also had a subcutaneous mass behind his shoulder area surgically excised. The incision is about 2.5-inches long w/ 11 stitches that will come out in about 2 weeks. The biopsy report should be back early next week.

Now, we'll see what his BG# do. Today happens to be 14 weeks since his Acromegaly treatment at CSU. Needless to say, I am wiped out and as always hoping & praying for the best.

I'm glad your dental and the excision went well. I know how stressful it is when you have to do these things. I hope you see better BGs now. Healing vines to Lanky.

Glad Lanky is doing so well after his dental. We hope you get a negative report on the biopsy and he heals quickly...poor baby. Those dental lesions can really sneak up on you....we brush teeth every day and I never knew Gus had two of them...he never acted like it hurt but when I took him in for a checkup (I take my old kids in every 3 mos), they found it. Thankfully he hadn't had it long. I hope this overall helps Lanky feel better!!!

Wow - that must have been causing Lanky lots of trouble and it has to be a good thing it's all gone now - for both of you - you two have been through such a lot!

Hope Lanky heals up quickly and well - and he'll soon be feeling better. You too... take care, Susan - he clearly needs his bean !!

Positive vibes too, on the biopsy... hope it will be what we all want to hear...

I'm sending healing vines to Lanky for his mouth and incision to heal quickly. I also hope everything comes out fine from the biopsy. You are probably stressed out, but be sure and take care of yourself.

Lanky is gonna feel so GOOOOOOOOOD with those toofies gone. I hope the biopsy news will be good too.

I hope Lanky is back to feeling good in a day or two. I hope the vet gave you bupe or some other pain killer for him.

Ouch! I bet he will be SO happy once the dental is a couple of days behind him. I hope that he has pain meds as Sienne said... Sending healing vines for his mouth and for his shoulder...hope the biopsy report is clear. Rest now Lanky...you are a brave boy!! Good job! :thumbup

Yes, the vet send us home with the pain killer Buprenex. Lanky napped most of the day, looked a little off, but woke up to eat a good dinner. Tomorrow will be better...and maybe a little more active. Have a good evening all!
 
I'm glad he's coming around and was hungry tonight. He'll feel better tomorrow, and hopefully you'll start to see some positive changes in his BGs, too.
