A special thank you to all that sent healing vines and positive thoughts to my civvie sister Elsa who went to the vet yesterday. I Lubs you guys... ~~~ Mannie

Blue was the color of the day yesterday. Not too bad! I still think we could be doing a little better here - and am considering fattening up Mannie's dose. We shall see how today progresses. I'd like to see more greens. We do get them, but not as often as were we a while back. What do you think Mannie?

Normalcy in Mannieland today - a really laid back normal. He has forgiven me for the onslaught upon his person last night - grooming was the key word. His bean decided that he needed a good brushing - he disagreed, rather vocally. His coat is so thick, mats so easily, and with colder temps, well - brushing is becoming a much needed daily thing... :? it was a mini war to even make a dent. Such language from a kitty! :shock: so many growls, and hisses, and claws. :shock: :shock: final score: bean 2, Mannie 3. For this morning Breffis #1, and #2 consumed heartily, though he failed auto feeder for #2, and back to remedial feeder training. Napping on the nanners in progress. :lol: : he's made a circle out of them, and is sleeping in the middle of that circle. Go Mannie!

And from the bean: thanks to all that provided links and info for my little furbaby Elsa. It is much appreciated. She is doing well today and has forgiven me for taking her to the horrid horrid vetty place. She is more than grateful to the KTS for their spa service. From Elsa: purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :-D

That amps is almost blue. Mannie, did you hear your bean give a dosethreat? Let's see some green surfing today. I don't know how you keep up with the grooming of all that long hair Michelle. I wish your score was better. :lol:

Good morning, Michelle. Mannie had a nice blue day yesterday, and you know, that amps isn't to far away from blues, so we can just consider it a blue, right????
I get a giggle imagining Mannie in the middle of all those nanners! I've gotten a nanner, a fish and and lemon and for the life of me, can't find any one of them, but when they are spotted, they certainly have been through the mill with my kitties. Something in that special nip that really makes them happy and relaxed. Wonder if they make anything like that for us beans cuz I sure could use a little nip nanner every once in a while, kwim ;-) :lol: :lol:

I'm glad Elsa is doing better today and that the results come back sooner and that it isn't anything to bad. Spot had that Convenia last year when he was really sick with his stomach problem. At that time, I didn't know about all the bad stuff, but Spot came out of it ok and it helped him a lot. I hope the same holds true for your little girl.

Hi mannie and elsa! glad we could get together yesterday, I certainly miss you guys. Wish bean wasn't so darn busy all the time. Dis weekend we gots medium and liddle beans at da house, free of dem! Ali will be hiding all weekend and ralph will be sitting on all da different laps. Me, I just go wit da flow...I heard my bean sey she was gonna take dem somewhere tomorrow...bouy oh bouy, I can't wait....peace and quite!!! Elsa, you like dat spa treatment yessertday?? Hi Ele - the brushing is such a war. He used to love to me brushed, wish he still did. all that fur! long fur! with that mini corkscrew tail-less pom pom that he has - well it all collects down them - aiyee.... I am working on a better score. :lol: :lol: round two today.

Hey Deb. Those nanners are the best thing I ever bought. Guess Santa had better bring them more... Mannie guards those silly nanners. Off limits to the civvies, and he does defend them at all costs, so they never go missing... :lol: :lol: :lol: Now the kitty springs - they get scattered everywhere, two are MIA and I am always stepping on them. :shock: and thanks on Elsa. My gut reaction is that this is allergy related. once confirmed we will see what i need to do to find the culprit, and get her healed up. and yes - I know on the convenia... so far she is fine with it, but it's just not the choice I would have made for an AB. The stuff scares the you know what out of me. :? Paws crossed that it will help her, and we can be done with it.

Hope Elsa has totally bounced back from her vetty ordeal and we will all be waiting 5 days for the report!!! Have a great day!!

I haven't decided whether to get nanners or not....I bought their "stinkies" and my cats just looked at them and said "what do we do with these" and they are ALL catnip addicts...if they even get a whiff, they are front and center pronto. Do you think the nanners have more catnip smell in them?

Tobey and I vote for spa treatment with KTS...and we could become the KTSS...Kittenhood of the Travelling Soup & Spa!!!

Hi Marjorie - :lol: and yes it is not his typical demeanor. it is the only time he carries on so - hisses, growls, general nastiness. :shock: And more than likely a food spike at +2. down to 112 now. YIPPIE! Not sure on the nanners - I think maybe they are more potent. Mannie has had other catnip toys before, but these things win hands down.

Hi Barb! I will send Mannie to retrieve Checkers. he had to go and rescue Tess last night too. :lol:

Way to go Mannie :!: You sure know how to get things going. I see a pretty color in your future. Michelle you are definitey going to keep busy. Get the can opener ready :lol: I bet you're already planning. There are some mad testers in LL today.

I never would have thought that Mannie was a member of the grooming grumpy club. I used to have to use bandage tape to keep from looking like I'd walked through brambles. Were you able to get him all done or are you doing it in stages?

Where did you get those hot catnip toys? They seem to have magical playing powers. Powder loves catnip but he rolls in it and that means intense grooming after,not what either of us needs. ;-) Sure would like him to be enticed to play though.

Hi Kathy! The nanners I bought I found on amazon. you can just search by "nanners' and it should find them. If not, let me know and I can find the link. my cats just love them - better than anything else. and oh yes on the grooming grumpy club. he used to love to be combed - but ever since FD that has all changed. HAHA on the bandages. yes on that too - :lol: :lol: and no - not finished, this i will have to do in stages, and my the time I finish I will have to start all over again. :shock: and we won't mention his bum, where the fur is so longggggggggggggg that it needs to be washed. :roll: another thing he just loves - uh no.

Tess , and Gracie - YAY then it is official - we have evolved to teh KTSS! And Elsa would love a return visit. she is very antsy cuz my bean won't let her out to play. An ear massage would be so cool. uhhhhhh - can I have one too? You hafta watch out for my other sister - she can be a bit pushy - BlackJack likes to be in the middle of everything - so annoying! It is all i can do to keep up with anything that goes on here. by the time i get done with Mannie's stuff it's like oh darn - i haven't visited hardly anybody. bummer. her appt went ok - we just wait on the pathology now, and see if it tells us anything other than what we expect. she's just beggin' to hit the great outdoors, which is temporarily a no-no - sneaky little thing that she is. i hope I don't cave.... :?

How nice to see Mannie is in the greens! Very nice, Michelle! Tinkles is there too, but being a bit dramatic about it. I hope Mannie surfs nicely for you!

Sorry about the Convenia shot...I would be upset also that the vet didn't consult me first! Hopefully it will work well and not cause any problems...paws crossed!

Hi Tena - Mannie is not too happy with me - a major bum wash. I need to have that part shaved again, just the bum area - it made such a difference. And to boot I tackled him with the comb too - got another small section brushed. We will win this war. long haired cats with thick down... omg.

Roni!! no worries - sorry about your hand. i hope it is just a temp flareup - all is well soon. Mannie is peeved - I tackled his privy spots, totally unacceptable, and the comb!!! omg what a bad bean - or so he thinks. all is forgiven now - he got his fav for dinner, so good to go, and my laid back cuddly purry kitty has returned. Good luck with the fundraiser - great cause. I hope it goes well.

Friends. I have suffered a gross injustice. cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam Why do these beans have to focus on our butts. I was grooving away, laying in a sun beam, when whoosh - swept up and hauled into the bathroom - never a good sign. :shock: The danger alarm went off big time, :o and nooooooooooooo out came that washcloth, and horrors! my bum was scrubbed and washed and rinsed and scrubbed again! I am so mad cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam Revenge I think - maybe an all-nighter for the bean. :twisted: you guys with me? ~~ Mannie

76 @ +1, fed small tsp 14% HC, will test @ +1.5 I went with the 14% since he was already at 76, and it's so early in the cycle. We will see what that does, and adjust going forward. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

I hear ya on the butt stuff Michelle. My little Clancy has hair similar to Mannies, and needs to be shaved now and then. I really hate shaving his beautiful curly 'bottom' hair, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I will never forget the time I set out to do the same - grab the soap, not realizing it was lavender scented. :lol: :lol: :lol: I though he smelled great. Mannie on the other hand knew he wasn't right, spent the rest of the evening bathing everywhere, and growling, and sniffing - guess he wasn't too pleased with smelling like a field of lavender. :lol: :lol:

I found it stashed in our closet and it had brown fur on it....had to clean it before I sent it back!!!

Hi Ann.... shesshhhh, just when i thought he was leveling up, headed up some, he takes another dip. Must be some of Stu's mermaids lurking down there. :-D and yes - so much better in the daytime - those i don't mind. It has been awhile since I have had a night one of Mannie's that will go on for a while. :? Mannie says he loves the fireplace chats, and has decided he needs to host more of them.

:shock: 46 @ +6.5 - fed 18% HC with Karo. DH will fed Mannie another tsp of 18 % @ +7, so I can nap a bit. I will test again @ +7.5, see where we are at, and go from there.

Mannie - what in the world... looks like nadir is no longer at +6. :shock: :shock: :shock:

Hmmm..I think the 2 tsp of 6% at +3 overdid it...she slowed down at +4; I'm going to stay up with her at least until +6. Hope you get some rest tonight!!
