Morning all,
Hope you have a good day.
I suspect he is up today from food spike...i tested at +10 171 but soon after that he headed straight to his food...so now for AMPS he is 190.8
see how it goes today....hope he doesn't drop too much as i won't be here from +3 until after +7 roughly if not longer....i already told him to behave...

Oh well, we all know if you tell a kitty to behave they most certainly will .. they are proven to be the best listeners out there of any animal species known to man .. :lol: :lol: But I'm sure rocket will be fine, this is a great way to start the day .. have a great weekend guys!

Good morning, Claudia. I think this may be the first time I posted to Rocket's condo.

From your post, it sounded like Rocket had food available after +10. Am I interpreting that correctly? We generally try to pick up any food between +10 and pre-shot otherwise, your PS test may reflect a food spike. Overall, it looks like his numbers are trending down nicely over the last 6 days.

withholding food from a CRF and diabetes cat gets to be a challenging act...he needs to have food out at all times for when he gets hungry. Not sure if you know but CRF cats they tend not to want to eat...so both illnesses are quite the challenge

+3 82.8 heading off in 5 mins....hopefully he will be ok...leaving food out...

forgot to say that he ate well soon after AM shot too....so did not test at +1

ok he ate about 1/2 hr before +3 test and he is now at 63
how often should i test him? every 1/2 hr?

sounds good. testing in a half hour will give you an idea of when the next test should be.

rocket's getting pretty good at surfing. if you'll be testing again in a half hour, i'd hold off on feeding right now.

It's only 9:30 pm my time (mountain time)...
I can stay up no problem...with the slight uprise i thought of stopping the poking....just wondering...
 
rocket is doing so well on this dose. if it were me, i would grab another test before i went to bed just to make sure he's still surfing. if he is surfing, feed him, leave food out, and get some sleep.

I can stay up and do more testing....with that said he just ate...he was standing by his bowl asking for food....that will cause a rise in #s, right? so he won't surf anymore, correct?
I will test in about 1 hr
 
eating may bump his numbers up a little bit. testing in an hour is fine.
i don't want you to burn yourself out. rocket is surfing nicely on this dose. i would feel comfortable feeding and going to bed on that number. i'm not trying to send you to bed. lol! just want to make sure you understand you could if you wanted to. :mrgreen:
