Yesterday...

Today: AMPS 398 +2 311 +4 265 +6 282 +8 285 PMPS 333

For AMPS test this morning, Cathy was a bit early and got the 398 at 7:38, I redid a test at 7:58 (Shot time is 8:00) and I got 385. Very high but a bit odd. Reminder to self: "Concentrate on the lows, self!!!"

He wasn't too bothered about food this morning, had a few mouthfuls of breffis and now he's outside, checking the backyard out... seems fine.

Forgot to mention yesterday but did get a Ketone test early evening - nice plain 'Ecru' - beige, tan, - NEGATIVE!

Thanks for the anti-jinx's etc - after I noted yesterday that there does seem to be a bit more of a curve to his numbers now...? OK they haven't gone down any (in fact, perversely, they seem to have gone up the last few days) but they do seem to be higher now at the ends of each cycle vs. the middle. Why that might be - anyone have any idea?

Gotta run now, the Atlanta commute beckons... (Yuk!)

398 and 385 are pretty much the same number on most meters as far as my understanding goes. But regardless I hope sooty comes down for you today, and glad to hear the ketone test was negative!! Have a great day guys!

Good morning Perry and Sooty! I actually took some time out this morning to check out your ss and some of your condos since I haven't really been on board much lately. I noticed Sooty was at the vet yesterday for some tests. I hope that the test will help you guys find out what is going on with your buddy.
I was just going to say what Devon said also...398 and 385 are basically the same number.
I hope that the dose crease helps....and I'm going to wish that you guys see some yellows and blues today....can't hurt to wish, right!

Thanks Peter/Devon & Deb - yes I take your point on the Meter numbers...!

Hope we get some results today from the vet for the local tests they did... The MSU results are due Friday...

I am still wondering if what we're seeing lately is actually a good thing? I LIKE that we seem to be getting more of a curve to the numbers now - but I am more than a little surprised that the curve seems to be more due to the early and late-cycle numbers going UP, than it is to he mid-cycle numbers going DOWN...

I know all about dosecrease 'wonkiness' but has anyone seen this kind of thing before?

Will add a ?? to the top subject line to try and attract soe more 'eyes'...!

He's sooo comfy right now I just can't disturb him for a test - will see if I can get a +4 or 5...

The pre-shot numbers are typically the highest -- it's when there's the least amount of insulin available to influence the BG numbers. What I think you're seeing is a pretty flat yellow during the middle of the cycle. It will probably take a higher dose to bring the entire cycle down.
