NICE day and night for Mannie last night. WOW, and we are loving those green surfs. Bit of a bounce this AM with the 232, food spike at the @ +1 - and phew! only in the sense that today is a for me, and I feel ok leaving him for the day with those numbers. pink ! ugh! I hate pink, but at least I know I can be gone for a while and he will be safe. Auto feeder is loaded (YAY! he did use it at the +1 - a small victory). DH will make sure he gets the +2, +3 before he heads on out. I left a mix of LC/MC in the feeder.

Mannie is great this AM - all the normal things - purring and preening, and all around happy kitty. There was a distinct heavy sigh when he saw the hike gear... poor guy. He did hear him though on the phone with his LL buddies - looks like another gathering here at Mannie's. have fun kitties!

Really nice day for Mannie yesterday! Great cycles, unfortunately those great cycles have to be followed by the dreaded bounce. And yep, nice to know that although the bounce is there, it will be gone soon....at least that's the plan we have, lolol.

Enjoy your hike today, Michelle. The sun is starting to shine here and it may be a nice day. I just found out about a trail fairly close to me that allows dogs, so I just may decide to do that after work today...just depends if anyone calls off. Just had our first call off and have one person off already, so if the phone rings in the next hour............

Hey, Mannie....sounds like your mumz is going out for a while today, so I'll be grabbing my sack of spices and heading over to your place. Let's make some plans, kay...........Spot

Mannie..today is the New Moon...and Raja is making soup and Shadow is putting wheels on Bear Man's stool and they are hoping that everyone can make it over to Bear man's house. Teddy is getting things ready there...they want to be with Bear Man tonight. Instead of everyone sitting home and crying about his weakness, Raja said it's better that they all be together, to kiss him and to hug him BE with him now....surrounding him with their love and affection for him...ok Mannie...??

Hi Michelle & Mannie, Just checking in on you and the gang to wish you a great day: hanging out for Mannie and his pals, and a great hike for you, Michelle. We have pouring rain this morning (continuation of yesterday's weather), but it's supposed to clear this afternoon. I'm going biking on the Bloomingdale Bog abandoned railroad bed tomorrow, and my sister is coming on Sat. for the Columbus Day weekend and our last "official" paddle of the season (traditional paddle and picnic on the Bog River). Lots of bogs here!!!
Edward and I are OK. We see Stu everywhere. Stu's ashes are supposed to arrive today. We have a spot picked out by the catmint.

p.s. to Pat: Just saw your post as I was posting this. It is good that the kitties are going to spend the evening with Bear Man. Stu will be with them all in spirit.

Great numbers last night, Michelle...don't know how you have the energy to go hike but I say GO FOR IT!!! Hope it is a beautiful day and you see no naked
men...unless, of course, you wish to. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Mannie...we'll come by your house for a bit and then head over to Bear Man's to give him a purr fest.....no matter what he decides, he'll know we are all there purring for him.

Thanks everybody for visiting Mannie while I was gone. It is just so great to come home and find that so many checked up on him - pink numbers and all. Hike was great - another in a series of mountain lakes by Snoqualmie Pass. Beautiful fall colors, gorgeous lake - and it was all mine until about 11AM when the masses started to show. :lol: :lol: :lol: Thank goodness I am an early riser! Even made first light at the pass. WOOT!! and uhhhhhhhh - no naked hiker this time. :lol:

Moonie - you are the best - I agree - I miss him too. The catmint is growing well, and I harvested my first batch. I will make Stu's parfaits, and we can take them to Bear Man's. We should sing the MoonDance too - I've heard that Bear Man likes it. Hey - isn't it cool that Shad-O put wheels on Bear Man's stool??? YES! See you soon! ~~ Mannie

Ella - so great to have you visit Mannie today too. Hike was so nice - I will miss them come winter. A snow hiker I am not - just to hazardous on the mountains when they are iced up. :shock: Nice on the bogs! I like those - interesting places. I hope you have a nice paddle - and your sister too? that is great!! oh - enjoy the bike ride too. I am glad that you and Edward are doing OK - we all miss you guys - everyday. And yes - I am certain that you see Stu everywhere - he is watching over you ya know. Mannie is so thrilled that Stu will be by the catmint. He has asked if he can come a visit every now and then. 'Evening, Michelle. I'm glad you had a good hike. It sounds just beautiful where you live. The leaves are at peak color here now. I love NY State, but not the snow. It's beautiful, but that's all. :smile:

I hope Mannie comes down slowly for you tonight...no dives!

If I can find him that is - he was so busy getting all ready for Bear man, packed up the roadster, and said as he headed on out - no worries: i have the meter, Tess can test too, we got it covered. ok then. :shock:

Hi Barb - hear ya on the snow. It can be so pretty - but such a royal pain... :-D It has been a long time since I have been to NY -I hope someday to go back again. I have such memories of how nice it all was: away from the city stuff.

I'll be sleeping with the timer next to me tonight. This old lady, doesn't do the night scene well. One more test, and I'm off to slumberland....with one ear open for timer, that is.

Oh gosh, how did I miss your condo today? Glad you had a good hike, and I hope Mannie lets you sleep tonight. Muffin still isn't home from the evening's events - I wonder if they went somewhere after Bear Man's? I'm sure they didn't want to keep him up too late. If you see her, can you send her home for me?

I'm with you Barb - I don't do the night scene well either. can if I ave too, but I cannot count the number of alarms I have slept through... :roll:

Hi Anne - :-D I will have Mannie escort Muffin home. Seems the lot of them wanted popcorn and a movie - they are all camped out in front of the tv watching a movie. Seems like they stayed a long time at Bear Man's, it was hard to leave their friend. Mannie says it was a unanimous decision to hang out together. They were showing Muffin all the cool foods that come in cans....
