+10 I thought I got a +10 but it's not on the meter, I must have dreamt it
+11 151

We're going back to try the 1.25 units again. 41 is close enough to a 39 for me. Wish us luck, please.
Wish me luck in measuring the darn thing.
I tried the ole drop method. I've heard some people can get 10 drops out of 1 unit. I measured the 1.50 and then thought I'd try to push out 2 1/2 drops. I pushed out 1 small (okay medium sized) drop and it looked like 1.25, so that's what I shot.
Maybe, I'll have time to practice more tonight. I sound like a newbie, and I'm not.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Oh no - you're dreaming about testing. That's not good!

Those were some nice numbers last night - a little scary but nice! Good luck with figuring out the drops!

Great numbers last night...

Only once while I was practicing did I get 10 drops from 1 unit. The microdosing is definitely a challenge for me. Its hard to be consistent w/each drop size.....and my eyes aren't that good.

Have a great day today.

J.D,. is looking SO good Dyana! Nice job last night! (you get credit for wanting to do the +10 even though you might not have done it...in your dreams you did it...LOL)

Just noticed your post to Arnie yesterday...I have never heard of this technique. Have you always done it this way?

I grab a few tufts of J.D.'s fur, just to get the skin away from his side, and shoot straight into his side (like you do a horse), and I just 1/2 inch needles. Do you shoot straight in?

I survived the day.
I was surprised and happy to see my cats greet me at the door when I got home from work.
Yesterday, there was no one (cat) to greet me, and I had to go find them laying on the bed.

This PMPS is not so bad, considering J.D. was 151 at PM +11, 220 at AMPS, and 319 at a little past +1 this morning.

I will need to go to bed, soon, I hope! :-D

No, I shot in the scruff for years. Pulling up the scruff and shooting sideways in. Then J.D.'s scruff just seemed to feel like the skin was real tough (sometimes like layers of heavy saddle leather) and hard to push through sometimes, so I asked and researched about other options. Jojo said with him being a BIG cat, that I should try the 1/2 inch needles, because there is more (skin and fat) to go through for him. Like I said, now I just pull the skin away from the flesh and shoot straight in. He rarely flinches or complains. And I know I got the insulin where it's supposed to be, under the layers of skin...subcutabeous, or something like that, it's supposed to be. I don't know if it's right. It's what I do, and it seems to work. I used to have horses. What can I say?

We went for a nice short walk after work, and J.D. seems to have a little extra energy. Plus, he ate all his 1st dinner, and all of Ginger's too, since she didn't want hers. Okay, so NiNi, I hope.

My thoughts are with Linda and Bearman, tonight.

Well, our boy has kept you up all night I see! Glad he has more energy tonight after walk and a good dinner (and a half? lol)

With you thinking of Linda and Bear. Hope you are getting some deserved sleep now :)
