Latte was up howling, drinking, eating kibble and walking all over me around 5am. Got up a little early to test in preparation for anything...
    pmps +11.40min - 277
    amps- 244
    amps +45min- 241

Thought she may have been dropping before shot, but maybe not. She has been drinking a lot of water and choking, to the point she almost vomits. Speaking of vomit, I stepped in what was likely some bile this a.m. The specialist said her Enzyme 4 (whatever that is) was unusually elevated and would have thought her symptoms would be much worse (vomiting). Maybe that was just a sign of what was to come?

Eating very slowly and not much of her wet this a.m.

I had to do a quadruple check of her syringe this morning when I thought i might have gone a line to far with the plunger. I then realized the "0" line was way up there. When I measured it against another syringe it was definately further up the syringe, making the dose I was about to give her probably close to .5units more. Im really glad I caught this. These are the relion syringes.

    WBR- very tired today

    Good catch on the syringe.

Maybe you need to talk to Latte about waking you up before the alarm. I have to admit that I think I'm chronically sleep deprived from staying up some nights to test. I hope Latte feels better today.

    Hi Carolyn,

I'm following up from yesterdays thread. As others said about rubbing karo on gums. If you needed to administer anally, you can get tubes of glucose (probably wouldn't be particularly comfortable but you wouldn't have to insert as such-the anus has thousands of nerve endings and that's why it's such a good place to use if you need something to take effect almost immediately.

I'm sorry I'm not familiar with your story as to why Latte is taking the medication.

The continuing to drink excessive water may be attributable to still eating dry food. This will also make it difficult for you to get consistent bg readings (especially if sometimes Latte eats more or less dry). Are you working on transitioning completely to wet?
Thinking about it, wet is possibly less likely to cause any abrasions on the oesophagus? Just a thought.

    Hope Latte perks up.

Did not eat while I was at work. Maybe 1/4 can ff when i got home. Barely 1/2 3oz can wellness this a.m. Im really having a difficult time getting her to eat the last 24hrs.

Her BG at the U on Monday was 272. Im pretty sure that is almost exactly what I got at home before we left...maybe 276 or 286...and she dropped 100pts by the time we got home for pmps. No glucose in urine! This was after spending time the night before higher than ever in the 400's, and did not go below 200 the entire next cycle. That to me was reassuring of where her RT is.

Kate- Latte's profile, in my signature, has all the info on her various conditions and meds. Sorry, its such a long list it would take me all night...

As you can see from my report above it is very challenging and time consuming to get her to eat enough...of anything. Kibble is better than nothing. I do offer wet up the 1/2 dz times a day (sometimes more). I know it can make it more difficult to regulate BG. But the alternative is worse.

    You worked magic! LOL
+3 Latte popped up and started munchin' kibble...then wet..then water...then wet...after 24hrs of little eating, vomiting, choking, and being lethargic (or sleepy). She also destroyed another peacock feather.

    +3.75- 187
Im guessing between pmps and +3 she went up, and then dropped. I dont know what we would do without these drops. Other than appetite stimulants (which we have not used in weeks), the fast drops are the only thing that seems to get her to eat.

What a week! Big visit to the hospital, highest recorded BG, dropping amps into the 50's, vomiting into low pmps, momma gone everyday and some pm's. Lots of tough decisions and creative thinking has been done. No wonder we are exhausted! Really looking forward to a few days off.
