I swear Sunday nights are Austin's time to scare me. He's never had a hair ball before - he has short thick white fur that for the most part he did not do a ton of cleaning because he couldn't reach at 27 lbs....Now he cleans himself a lot more. In any case, he started this loud cough noise - no puke right after he ate. Austin's rarely pukes - but now and then it happens and he merrily goes on his way. He caught both my husband and my attention this time. It was loud but nothing came up. I got upset thinking it could be anything - and gave him a dot of butter to lick off my finger. He accepted it gratefully and went on cleaning himself, playing, purrring...I'm hoping this is a one time deal and it was potentially a hair ball. His numbers are dropping since the episode as well. Keeping a close eye on him though. Otherwise a pretty good weekend together.
