Good morning everyone.... I hope I am functional enough to write coherently... What a night last night. Mannie, and Do Lou and Curry had such a wild PJ party. What fun those kitties had - they sure didn't mind. Mannie couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. He just keep on purring and purring and waiting in his test spot, and thanking his lucky starts for such a wonderful selection of fuds. We hit 40 a few times, even with karo, and based on that performance, I shaved his dose this morning, from a F3.25u to a 3.25u. Should anyone disagree with that - please let me know. We logged in with a 235 this AM. No complaints really - just no higher Mannie, OK?

Normalcy in Mannie-land. Home late from the party clean up and Raja's and Shad-O's, though I expect it was just an excuse to get together with his best buds. :roll: Then all the fuss last night, yet he is chipper, and ready for today. Such purrs at test time this morning, and what an appetite! I think that boy just likes to eat. :-D Interior has been thoroughly investigated this AM, outdoor not even a glance - still way too dark out there. My attempts at getting ready this AM were meant with approval: I got the once over, a leg rub, and now off for a nap...

have a terrific Caturday all! I am off later this morning to cat sit for a bit, then help my DD register at the local baby store - 3 months to go before I become a granny. omg: scary, but oh so cool!

and now to get that caffeine IV going, or maybe a trip to the local coffee shop for the really good stuff. I can't decide which would be better. brain fog needs clearing... ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O)

oh michelle....did you get any sleep at all? no advise on the dosing...just support my dear....and a couple of cups of coffee for ya. ~O) ~O) ~O)

i've only been doing this for 2 months....but i kinda miss sleeping in on the weekends....not complaining...just acknowledging the change.

Hey...didn't you order nanners for Mannie??? Did they arrive yet?

Ann - you are probably right... btb would be the logical choice. I just may do that. :-D and oh yes on the guilty relief - I held my breath this morning, and huge sigh when the 235 popped up. I now have some breathing room this morning. :lol: :lol:

Tena - hey - Yes, I ordered nanners, but no show yet. I hope today. Also ordered the springs, which my eldest civvie loves. Mannie just sleeps on them. :? I told Sienne that he needs to go to Gabby and Gizmo school to learn how to play with them. silly boy! And I hear ya on the no sleeping... we have been at this for over two years - omg, but it's all good, just have to laugh when those i know talk about sleeping in. huh??? what is that? @-) @-)

Hi Pat! :lol: :lol: yeah - all those numbers look like a too long laundry list - kind of like Ann's from a couple of days ago. I hope the dosecrease holds. Guess we shall see. :-D Now if I could just get this current pen to cease and stop with all these air bubbles - driving me nuts! Never had issues like this before - huge bubbles - far too many well lets try again draws. :roll:

Pretty sure that's what happened to DH on Wed. and to me earlier in the month. I'm not sure if it is the pen or the syringes. The insulin and the air bubble seem to get reversed w/ the insulin at the top , but it's hard to tell the difference.

Precisely what is happening to me - nearly daily... new pen about a week ago. well - we just deal, but it sure is frustrating!

Hi Miriam - I know.... the boy gave me quite the workout last night. geez - he just did not want to leave the 40's.... :shock: nadir did not come soon enough last night... and then back down to the 60's at +7.5. holy crap!

so here we are today in the yellows - not too surprised. I just hope it clears soon enough - it usually does - and that he doesn't go higher.

Hi Ella - oh boy on the numbers last night. We had several in the 40's, and that was with karo! omg... I did get up for a 7.5 spot check only to find him back at 61 :shock: . so - no surprise at the bounce this morning - so many low numbers last night. I hope the dose reduction sticks... And Yep - hope to spend sometime outdoors today - it is sunny, though cool - a perfect fall day. maybe when I get back from baby shopping with my DD. Just too nice to be indoors...

I hope you got plenty of ~O) this morning! What a night! And good luck with the dosecrease. I had trouble with giant bubbles when I started a new pen recently. And there is one large bubble in the pen. Lucy suggested that I suck the air out with a syringe, but I just tap the pen lightly to move the bubble to the top before I put in the syringe and I haven't had giant bubbles again. I hope you can find something that works for you, cuz it is very frustrating to keep redrawing the insulin.

Morning Michelle I am in need of that coffee IV as well just now starting to wake up I am in such slow motion but what a night the boys had great PJ party :-D and look at Mannie this morning starting out with 235 hope his bounce his short lived after his diving to see the mermaids last night just could not keep that boy away from them :lol: :lol: well we had planned for a hike today but now its on for tomorrow when the Bean has more energy unless DL keeps me up again tonight and if so well will just go anyway :-D

Holy Cow...what a night, Michelle!! I think it's terrible when I get up twice. :lol:
I've noticed more bubbles in pen than in vials, but luckily, only tiny ones, easily moved to the top. I hate having to overdraw so much, just to be able to lose some, trying to rid bubbles.
Now Mannie, come on down for your mama, but not too fast, she needs some sleep :smile: .

Hey Tena: this are cat springs: Cat Springs Mannie just sits on them, my oldest thinks they are fun. Nice though that they are not too expensive... :-D ANd YES!! on the break today! :-D :-D :-D

Hi Marjorie - yep - our first grand baby - a boy. DD wants to register at some bay stores today, was looking for some experienced input - guess that means me. omg - but it will be so fun! and yes - they are only 30 minutes away - even better!

Lisa - hope you can go for your hike tomorrow. I know the tired ting - sometimes I just go anyways. For me, when I get out there, all the fatigue just goes away, I'm never sorry that I have made the effort... I hope you will "go anyways".

Hi Barb - omg - he gave such a whirl and a workout last night. what a trooper he was - not one complaint. I call out "test" and over he'd come - purred all the way through the whole thing. amazing cat. I just love him to pieces. And yes on the overdraw - i hate it, but what else to do - gets rid of the bubbles.... :?

hi Kim - I saw you out there last night - thanks so much for hanging with us. it is nice to have others there with you, even if just for a minute or two. and being on the west coast - well most everyone else is sleeping by then - and rightfully so! and yes - two years, and a few months - longgggg story here - been with the board since november - wish i had known, and done it sooner. so much better for Mannie now.

I should point out that it's Gizmo who plays with the springs. He plays fetch -- and he LOVES the springs. Gabby looks at Gizmo when he's chasing full speed after them with a look of, "You're a cat. Make the bean fetch the spring. Have you no shame? "

Wow Michelle, you're amazing, what a night! Mannie had so much fun at the "clean up" party, he just rolled right into a PJ party, didn't he? My kitties love the springs too, well except for Shnookie. Playing is so beneath Shnookie. :lol: I may go ahead and order nanners for them too. I bought them a little yeowww fish from the pet store not too long ago, and they absolutely adored it! So much so that it's now lost somewhere under something. Maybe the nanners will be harder to lose. Hope you get some rest today, but Mannie, you can come down to the blues and still let the bean rest.

Hope you have fun shopping for the new little guy!!! My stepdaughter (been her SM since she was 3 so she's like my daughter) had a boy 1-1/2 years ago so
he's getting to be SO MUCH fun. Unfortunately, they live in KY and we live in AZ so you're lucky to be so close. We have to rely on videos, etc
for in between visits but since DH is pilot, he can bid the KY overnights and see baby more often.

Hi all! and thx! quite the night... Looks like a yellow surf for a bit today. That's OK really - Mannie probably wants a break form all those pokes. :-D Though it is business as usual for him. He's on the deck soaking up the sun. Mannie heaven - he so loves the outdoors.

He's so cute with his nanners! Emma has a yellow catnip stuffed "boomerang" that looks like a banana. She likes it, but mostly to use as a pillow. I find her sleeping with her head on it all the time :)

You and Mannie had quite the night last night! Wow - I don't know how you do it, and KEEP doing it!

I went to a baby shower today for a good friend. Lots of fun to see all the little baby things! It's been a while - most of my friends were having babies 10+ years ago, so it was fun to go shop for little girly onesies and cutesy things.

Think it could be NDW-New dose wonkiness?? With Mannie anything goes!!-NDW is Cats when given a new dose, react to the increased with increased BGs within the first 2-3 days, usually within 24 hours--Also called panicky liver...

mannie...buddy...them nanners are the BOMB arent they?? we got 6...2 for the adptocats, two for the cats at the grandbeans...and 2 for the poor lil sick FD kitty. ROTFHMN (rollin on the floor huggin my nanner). my bean got some totally embarrassing shots of me tearing thru the box...i'll be mortified if she ever figures out how to get it from her cell fone onto the 'puter..

and finally...a tail shot! you got a great looking rear appendage, bud!

Hi guys! well the long of the story is that yes: i bought three nanners, as I have three cats. and Mannie decided no way were the other two having any - so he went and removed them from their play zone - no way was he sharing. Funny - and so worth the wait. he just loves them - so far.

Bear Man - I know dude - i was so embarrassed: :oops: I drooled two big drool puddles -she took that too, but the pic kinda sucked. lucky huh! I will try to do better next time. I was only supposed to have only one - but I stole my sisters... :twisted: i know - my bad - i'll give them back.... later, maybe.

Baby registry was fun - so many cool things they have now for babies. My DD and I both learned - it was a blast, and we put so many fun stuff on her registry...

Hey Roni - he's been through NDW before - we could just never come up with any other reason for the numbers he was posting. maybe this time too - though I hope it's just a bounce - he was so very low for sometime last night. i dunno - will see where this goes for a cycle or two, and if it's just a mess then back to the 3.25F.

and anybody i missed - thanks! nanners are cool, we will see how long they remain cool, and yes Mannie is Mannie and anything goes, including weird too high numebrs and mega dives. :lol: :lol: Have a great night everyone!!!

Hey Mannie, I'm glad you finally got your nanners. I have some, too, but I think yours must be better. Great day today hanging out by Gracie's pool. My beans were canoeing in the rain, but we got to hang by the pool in the sunshine. Neat, huh? Now, bring down those numbers, buddy!

MJ: yep, my tailless wonder. They say he's a manx when we got him from the shelter, but i dunno - more of a twisted stump back there - corkscrew bone covered with very long fur. The structure and all that fur make it really fluffy, and big. he tries so hard to wag that thing - it ends up just looking like cheerleaders pompom. :lol: :lol: round and round in circles! :lol: :lol: :lol:

homie (GA) had the most perfect stumpie tail...shaped exactly like a white tail deer..he could speak volumes with it! binks is also a stumpie...and his gets working like crazy when he's excited...

looks to me like mannie is a stumpie, also...if you go by the categorization of rumpie, stumpie, or no-tail...

he's gorgeous!
